Does anybody know how to add water into a level in Super Metroid? In SMILE I went to fx1 and checked off the word ocean but I know there is more to it than that...If anyone could help me with that i'd appreciate itThanks

You shouldn't start a new htread for every new question. Try to keep it to one of your old ones.

yes, don't click ocean
select water in the menu in fx1

Don't you bother examining other rooms in the game with water, scrolls and other things before asking these easy to figure out questions?

if you spent 1 minute looking at another room that has water, and opened the fx1 window then you'd have all of the answer you need

Of course if you copied the pointers of another fx then it won't be the same as for the room you want, well, in most cases anyways, theres a given value in the fx1 that says "surface start" thats you main level. keep in mind if you are already sharng that ponter, every time you change that data, you will effect the other room as well, it's best to creat new values unless the room you re using elswehre can share the same values.

They are hardcoded to be in a fixed position, and to only have one, once you beat one, it enever comes back. yes they can be programmed to act differently, but that takes major asm hacking

you don't need a hex editor to edit the suits, which again are hardcoded for damage and such, but the tile themselves are edited via tile editor
