HEY! Try checking out the GBA version! Maybe it has some things in there...Like, maybe they were going to repare it for secret levels.

How can we can we check out the gba version if we don't have an editor? Plus, it's not even likely that it did. What are the chances?

Hex. You wanna find stuff, then dig for it. Run Tile Layer Pro through it... See what GFX are there. That's how you make editors -- You find the stuff first.

Your point? I'm 14. Your age doesn't matter, it's your skill that does. An 11 year old I know is a totally awesome assembly programmer.

Great! I've noticed several differences from the final in these screens, and have listed them here:

All Screens:
The star in the bonus star counter is yellow instead of red. (may look white, but look at the rightmost screen)

Vanilla Secret 3:
Nothing different.

Chocolate Island 2:
The background has tan mountains instead of dark ones.
The default ground palette is used instead of the brown one.
Dino-Rhino and Dino-Torch have different graphics.

Donut Plains 1:
Nothing different.

Yoshi's Island 1:
BG is totally different. Tan mountains w/peach sky instead of blue columns w/dark blue sky.
Banzai Bill has different graphics.

Also interesting in the article:
The Super Mario Bros. 4 subtitle is used here.
Yoshi's name isn't mentioned.

Technically this thread is still somewhat on subject. It is still about beta stuff...

Interesting! I never noticed that. Those graphics look much closer to the artwork found in the game's manual.

That first pic must have been made while the SNES was still in development. 4 backgrounds, sprite scaling? (Sure, it CAN use 4 BGs, but nobody does, because the colours would suck. SMW doesn't.)

Also, check out the bottom left screenshot in the second image. Cloud rings!

If I remember correctly, Mario Kart uses all four layers, and it looks fine. Sukasa, they probably got rid of the beta overworld because they couldn't find a way to make the level icons look right while still retaining the same layout.

It's just a thought, but I think we should sticky this. I think there is more out there that may take longer than usual to find, and by the time someone finds something the thread would be closed and they would have no choice but make a new thread. So how about it?

Seriously though, whats wrong with requesting a pirated rom? Nintendo didnt make it, it was never legally sold to the public. So it not illegal to have a pirated rom. Maybe someone could explain this to me.
