OK. It looks like I definately have enough support to begin a campaign. The problem? Too much support. I don't want to have a party of 20 people. So here's what we're going to do. Only post in here if you are serious about trying your hand at some D&D. Post with the following information.

How much experiance you have with RP in general if any:
How much experiance you have with D&D if any:

What type of character you might be interested in playing, if you're an experianced player, you can name a specific race/class you might want to play, if you're a newbie, a general concept will be fine:

Why you want to join the campaign:

How flexible you can be with regards to scheduling sessions:

There are no wrong answers to any of these questions. I will probably be looking for about half my players to be newbies, and half to be more experianced players, so you don't need to worry about lack of experiance.

I'm interested, but there are a few things that you should keep in mind when considering me.

1) I can't promise to make every meeting. (too many damn obligations on top of having the worlds worst time management skills)

2) I have a beginers to intermediate familiarity with D&D

I'm still interested.

D&D experience: Umm... Well, I played the arcade game.
Type of character: Elf, I guess.

Well, I want to try something new and I have always thought about how playing D&D would be. I'm pretty sure I can join you every meeting, but don't kill me if I miss one.

Experience: Currently playing a game of The Riddle of Steel, recently converted D&D 2.0 campaign that has been running for the last five years. I am familiar with D&D CRE 2.0, World of Darkness, Riddle of Steel, Star Wars d20, and Cymoro has described his 3.5 campaign to me in such detail (and I've played enough bioware games) that I believe I can get a handle on the feat d20 system in no time flat.

As for characters, I'd like to give some kind of caster a try. I'd prefer to go psionics again, but psionics was so annoyingly cumbersome in 2.0 that I'm not even sure if it's worth playing in 3.5. I've never played a mage or a cleric (I'm usually more in favor of rogues and warriors), so if nobody goes for that, then I'll be the caster. Otherwise, I'd like to go for a rogue, especially with the feat system in effect (preferably a bard).

I want to join the campaign because I've been RPing here in the SF for a while now, and I wouldn't mind doing something a bit more. I'm also starting to get bored with playing just with my friends outside the board (it's not a bad campaign, but we just restarted everything because the whole world was so fucked up and my DM decided to switch us to playing Riddle of Steel three week sbefore he leaves for upstate New York).

I can make it to nearly any session if it's late at night, I can't guarantee daytime ones though, since I do have college and a job to worry about.

Experience: In the past few years, I have played several level 1-2 campaigns (mostly due to the fact that my DM buddy can never seem to settle into one campaign setup, and we keep changing characters), and am also currently in the midst of a level 13-14 campaign sponsored by a local bookstore that plays every other week.

Plus, I have also been RPing in the Story and Sim-Battle forums almost since I've been here, as you may or may not be aware.

Why: Simple. I like D&D, and I like the people here. The two together just seem like a winning combination.

Flexibility: I should be able to make most meetings, save for Sundays and every other Thursday night. (Other campaigns) However, depending on how soon/late you plan you plan on starting this, college may/may not be an issue as well.

What to Play: Pretty much whatever you need or want...

- I would be interested in playing Shino again if you want a Rogue.
- If you want a melee class, either a Paladin, Monk, Ranger, or even a basic Fighter is good with me.
- If you want me as a healer, I would prefer a Druid, but Clerics are fine too.
- I would rather not play a pure offensive caster (Wizard, Sorcerer, etc), but if you are in dire need of one, I'll be more than happy to do it if that's the case.

Experience in whole: I've played D&D, I've done a miniature dungeon delve, and played Kobolds Ate My Baby. The last one was...interesting.
Experience with D&D: Well, I've DM'd most off my group's games, but I've just been playing as a normal character lately. Since half our group can't meet sometimes, we do both a large and small game; one with 4 people, and the other with two. Because nobody could really meet up often for the larger game, that's around 5th level. The other one is around 11th level.

What do you have in mind for playing: I've been wanting to try a Sorceror for a while now, maybe as a Half-Elf.

Why do you want to join: My group's sessions are going to be dwindling even further, and well, I need a way to play.

Flexibility: I won't be here for a whole week (the 14th to the 20th this month), but other than that, I'll be here any time.

I have had little experience with D&D itself, but I have played online RPGs and other such games before, so I assume I could catch on quite quickly.

I could be well suited for any character. Maybe a dwarf if those exist.

I can probably attend most of the meetings, unless something weird comes up like we have relatives over to our house.

Please consider me for this!

How much experiance you have with RP in general if any: I've joined several rp sites over the past couple of years.

How much experiance you have with D&D if any: I've only played the 3rd Edition and mainly went to groups my friends were hosting. So not that much since I've haven't played that much over the two years I've begun D&D.

What type of character you might be interested in playing, if you're an experianced player, you can name a specific race/class you might want to play, if you're a newbie, a general concept will be fine: Half-Elf, female, sorceress *laughs evily over what I've done in the past with a character like that*

Why you want to join the campaign: I would like to play with members from acmlm.

How flexible you can be with regards to scheduling sessions: I can make all of the meetings if I remember when they are. Unless I get kidnapped by a friend or something then I can't make it.

Question: Just how often would you plan on holding sessions? Until I get a "for sure" on that, just take this application as a possibility.

Experience with RP : RP'ing really isn't that hard in my opinion, technically. I'm not much of a fan of board-based RP'ing, but that really doesn't go to say I don't know how it's done, and so on. I've played DnD a lot before, RP'd in it and so on.

Experience with DnD : Standard. I'd still say I'm relatively new to the game, but I pretty much understand it all. I've been in 3 Campaigns, and have played different characters / classes each time.

Character I'd like to play : In all honestly, I'll just simply say I'd like to be a Cleric. I'm never really bugged by being labeled the "healer" at times, but I also like a lot of the Cleric's abilities, and so on. Or a Monk, either or. Kind of like Jarukoth said though, I'd be willing to play any class that's needed (I just don't really want be a Wizard or Druid though).

Flexibility : I can't really say at the moment. This is why I'd like to know how often sessions will be held. Honestly I have a very tight schedule, computer access is sometimes limiting in my position, and I usually work 5 out of 7 days a week, so I'm gone pretty often.

Why I'd like to join : Simple, DnD is fun. I think it would be fun to play a Campaign with my fellow Acmlmers, and I'm interested in trying out my first Online Campaign.

How much experiance you have with RP in general if any: I practically own the Story Forum. I've been roleplaying since 1995 or 1996, and I'm an excellent writer to boot.

How much experiance you have with D&D if any: I kind of know my way around the system - you'll have to explain a few things to me, but from my experience with Planescape: Torment and Neverwinter Nights, I've kind of got a good idea of how things work.

What type of character you might be interested in playing: MAGE OH GOD JESUS YES

Why you want to join the campaign: Why wouldn't I? It's bitchin' D&D with Acmlm's guys.

How flexible you can be with regards to scheduling sessions: I'm pretty open until school starts near the end of August, and from then on I've got late evenings and weekends. Evenings on weekends will be off once I start work at the local VFW.
