1. This never happened to me before yesterday:

I change something in one of my levels, save my level, load emulator, but the change isn't there! What can I do to fix this?

2. I used blocktool to add a certain block: "Can only pass after beating the special world", BUT they are activated once I touch the level "Star World 4" on the overworld map. Is there anyway to fix this problem?

After I get these fixed, I'll show some progress on the hack I'm working on (which a couple of you already know about/played)!

Thanks!

What was the level you're having problems with. Did you use a hex editor or something else while usin LM. I've experienced this alot, and I think I can help; I need more info.

You can try to save the level in a .mwl format. You can reinsert the level save it to the game, and hit F4 to auto run in the emulator.

Does this help?

I haven't used a hex editor, and I just did what you told me to do, and it isn't working. It does this on all the levels. It's like the emulator isn't playing my refreshed saved rom... Funny thing is, this started happening when I loaded Lunar Magic yesterday.

Edit: I just tried another rom, and it works just fine.
Edit 2: I loaded it from another folder and it works fine. I'll just use that file instead of my old one. Now to get that Blocktool problem fixed...

problem #1: You have an IPS patch in that folder that you'll eed to rename to fix the problem.

Problem #2: Go to the overworld editor, the overworld menu --> change special world levels --> change the levels to thecorrect level instead of the one they'recurrently at.

@ Question 1: I don't think this is the problem, but just in case, make sure the ROM you're talking about isn't read-only.

yeah, I am tired...

That wouldn't be the problem, or else LM would have given the "read-only ROM" error.

Ok, I didn't know if there was such a message or not. I just know that some applications do nothing when trying to save over read-only files.

Yeah, I had a .ips patch in there! LOL Thanks Sukasa!

I checked the overworld map, and it does say level 125, but it still isn't working right (it thinks 135 is the level).

BTW, should I start a new thread about my hack, or keep it in this one? Don't wanna clutter up the main board if I don't have to...

You could use this one. Just give a new thread title.

I'm disappointed in you, HH. Here are a bunch of posts regarding problems somebody had in LM and you're suggesting that changing the thread title and ignoring them is a good idea? Since it's a new topic... then wouldn't it make sense... to make a new topic?
