Outside the Sim Battle Arena, people have nice walks, chat along friends, whatever and the such at the memorial park when no one is not in a battling mood these days. One section was cut off due to mysterious acts of short destruction around a stone statue. It is uncertian as to how this statue was built, or who's idea was it to build it in the first place, but they say when a person with high enough power appears, he or she could release what is inside, hopefully for a battle.

My strength is regained, but now I must wait in a stone prison... Hopefully, a strong person will be worthy enough to break through the barrier that bonds me down. Soon... the world will fear my absolute power...

OOC: Opening as some sort of plot... You decide it. Spectators are welcomed to watch, as long as they don't interfere with the battle when this gets under way...

(OOC: Your character *is* inside the statue, right?)

A small, angular craft entered low orbit of the planet. Inside, Arwon poked at buttons and eased the craft down. The target was the southern continent, largest city. The planet was lush, rich, prosperous, a centre of civilisation.

It reminded him of Corneria. For most of his people, Avarians of icy and struggling Macbeth, Corneria was a byword for heavyhanded repression, centuries of imperialist rule. Arwon was once like them, but his bitter experiences during the Lylat Wars had cured him of such anger. When Andross had come promising a free and independent Macbeth and then unleashed horrors on the world that shattered his world, ravaged the very genetic code of his people, Arwon had fought alongside the forces of Andross in the final assault on Corneria... the enemy of my enemy. Hah. Stupidity.

When he returned home after the war and after the prison camps... he found devestation that dwarfed the casual callousness of Cornerian imperialism. The experience had freed him of any political fervor and left him bitter.

Arwon regarded the planet before him. It was known for one thing. They call it a "Sim Battle" arena. People fighting for honour, to train, for the sheer blinking hell of it. Madness. Violence and combat to Arwon were tools of his trade. He'd seen dozens of systems, hundreds of battles, learned many necessary skills, and he'd honed them well - techniques martial, magical, technological... that made him a highly prized bounty hunter.

But he didn't seek fights. They were things to be avoided. He'd seen enough to know glory and pride were dangerous illusions, liable to get one killed. They got the blood rushing, made one liable to relish the violence, led to lapses of judgement. Blood, bruises, mental drain... stupidity. To create an arena and a spectator sport of such brutal, nasty business? Unfathomable.

The ship arced gracefully through the atmosphere and made for the busy spaceport of the Sim Battle City. He landed, made his way into the gleaming, utopian city centre. Set against the skyline was the towering mass of the Arena, and near it was the memorial park that was his goal.

No-one watched Arwon, no-one stopped him and asked for papers. his childhood on Macbeth and experiences during the war made him unused to this freedom. He relished the fresh air in the park, and spotted his goal. It was a statue. There was no-one around now, and the air held a static chill which spoke of powerful magic at work. This place was a locus of power - unusual to feel such power concentrated in an urban area. This wasn't just a vein of elemental magic... something was bound here. Something powerful. And the binding centred on the statue.

Arwon shivered.

His client had sent him with vague instructions. Something was hidden in the statue, his client wanted it. Something dark and menacing seemed to be squeezing Arwon's guts. He considered leaving and abandoning the mission... but that could be just as dangerous. His client had huge resources backed by a vague and menacing organisation that Arwon knew wouldn't let him just walk away. They had specifically picked Arwon, saying "I need someone powerful". Then there was the reward. It dwarfed anything Arwon had ever worked for before. If he scored this, he could retire in splendour.

He shrugged... couldn't be that bad, probably just nervous at the idea of so muich money. He dug out a silvery gadget, small and sleek, a sort of scanning device, and he inspected it as it analysed the area.

There was definitely a powerful binding magic in the air. Whoever protected that statue really didn't want anyone stealing whatever was inside. No matter. Arwon didn't have the reputation he did among bounty hunters without having to break down a few magical binding spells. He could pull this one down easily.

Most worlds hadn't really explored the scientific aspects of magic... they were superstitious and foolish, they assumed it was beyond such analysis and control. They were amateurs, two-bit mystics and mages wowing primitave dullards with fireworks displays.

Arwon had, over the years, had dealings with various Technomages... and, well, he knew better. Magic was a force of the universe, same as any other, analysable, controllable. His staff, a technomage implement of deceptive simplicty, was a powerful conduit engineered for this purpose, and he had others.

He pressed a couple of buttons on his scanning device and put it away. He knelt down, holding the staff vertically with both hands. He closed his eyes and felt elemental power surging within him... between him, the the staff, the statue.

Powerful arcs of invisible energy arced, Arwon grimaced. Magic was draining, technologically channeled or not. It was working, though... the bind was loosening. Arwon saw in his mind, a thousand chains around a glowing orb, slipping away, falling limp. He clenched his teeth and tensed as the power peaked.... then fell back.

He opened his eyes... the spell was broken. Whatever was in the statue could now be easily taken.

As Arwon stood, the ground began to shake.

The ground continued shaking, as the statue begin creating cracks. Soon the quake stopped, as the statue burst apart. Fifteen lights that surrounded the destroyed statue began to resonate with the Soul Reaper, a sword that now layed stabbed into the ground that appeared out of nowhere from the ruined statue, where a human like figure hung by a set of large nails in its hands and feet from a large black cross.

Veni, veni, venias,
Ne me mori facias
Veni, veni, venias,
Ne me mori facias
Veni, veni, venias,
Ne me mori facias
Veni, veni, venias,
Ne me mori facias

"You are the one... who released me?" his voice echoed in Arwon's mind. He then heard a menicing laughter. The being on the cross clenched its right hand into a fist and pulled it free. As the hand opened up again, the nail that held it in place fell to the floor. Next the left hand pulled itself out and the nail that bound it joined the first. Finally, both hands gripped the sides of the cross as the legs pushed outward and freed the feet. One hand reached down and pulled out the nail that bound them together before dropping it onto the floor.

Veni, veni, venias, (Gloriosa)
Ne me mori facias (Generosa)
Veni, veni, venias, (Gloriosa)
Ne me mori facias (Generosa)
Veni, veni, venias, (Gloriosa)
Ne me mori facias (Generosa)
Veni, veni, venias, (Gloriosa)
Ne me mori facias (Generosa)

Something sprouted from the figure's back and it flew out to the center of the room, landing in the middle of the seal located there. The holes in its hands and feet closed up as it descended. Arwon looked at the sight before him. It was a male Navi with long white hair. His chest was encased in gold armor while the abdomen was encased in black. His legs were covered in black and his boots were both white. On his right ankle was a pair of decorative golden angel wings. Likewise the left ankle had something similar except they were bat wings. He wore a long black coat with angelic armor covering his right shoulder and demonic armor covering his left shoulder. His hands were encased in a pair of grey gloves, through which the claws on his left hand could be seen clearly. Around each forearm he wore a golden bracer - the right had an angel wing and the left a bat wing. On his back was a pair of wings. On the right was a single white angel wing. On the left, a single black demon wing. Red markings covered the left half of his human face while symmetrical white ones covered the right.

"I must thank you young one, for unleashing me and my wrath against this world," he said as he began glowing. "Power of the Moon: Gravity Crush!" He pointed to a building seen in the distance, as a black ball of energy crashed against it. The heavy gravity quickly smashed it into a flat pancake, severly harming anyone that was near it. Panic erupted, as everyone who was still alive from the unexpected attack began running for their lives.

He smiled, before someone attacked him from behind. The Navi turned around, and used Power of Steel: Dance of the Sabers. His unknown attacker was quickly skewered.

"Arwon, if that's your name..." the Navi said as he turned to face his releaser after taking care of the mortal that attacked him from behind, "I am Sephiroth..."

"Aw shit."

The ground stopped shaking, the statue had dissolved revealing not a bounty to be had, but the rather psychotic and messianic figure brimming with malevolent energy.

"I don't suppose you're going to come with me back to my client's homeworld? I've got a lot of money riding on this."

No response.

"Didn't think so."

It was clear now that Arwon had been set up, used. Pah. His client had needed someone expendable to release this... for what purposes he shuddered to think. Did the bloodyminded idiots think they could control this Sephiroth, use him in some way? Doubtful.

It knows my name, he thought. I released it. There must be some connection... does it think it owes me loyalty? How powerful *is* it? It just crushed a building, I shouldn't be anywhere near it. Arwon fingered the autopilot controls on his wrist, but thought better of it.

His hand instead found its way to his laser blaster.

It still just stood there, fixing its eyes on him.

"Are you gonna do something, or what?"

It didn't move, instead regarding the Avarian quietly.

"So I assume you're evil and twisted and stuff, planning to destroy this planet, or whatever?"

No response. Something sounding like latin began to stir up, a chant eminating from parts unknown.

Background music, same as earlier. Sephiroth's theme?

Swelling background music could only mean one thing, and it was never good. Arwon drew the laser blaster he'd be nervously fingering.

The music built, Arwon's brow furrowed. The Latin chanting began to build to a crescendo. Something was about to happen.

The fallen angel waited for his opponent to make a move. When he didn't, Sephiroth's lips curved into a wicked smile, as he raised his arms into the air, deciding to make the first official move, "Power of Steel: Dance of the Sabers!"

From all around the Navi, hundreds of different types of blades materialized like data from the internet. There were different types, cutlasses, medevil swords, futuristic swords, and those seen from countless anime shows. There were even a few beam sabers that look like they were robbed from Darth Vader or something. When about one thousand of them appeared, with a flick of his right wrist, they all started to dive bomb, heading towards the only target: Arwon, as voices began echoing out, as if singing in Sephiroth's name.

Shit!

In an instant, there was a cloud of blades converging on Arwon from all directions. They arced through the air with lightning pace.

In an instant, Arwon's mind ticked through a half dozen defensive options, in the way in which a well-trained mind makes precise calculations in an instant, weighing the pros and cons, picking the optimum response, instinctive process at a level below conscious thought. There were too many blades to reliably dodge, agile as Arwon was, and certainly too many too shoot out of the sky with his blaster. They were obviously controlled by Sephiroth and would likely follow him if he simply moved with blinding speed in an effort to avoid them that way. Not enough time to pull any fancy magic defences...

In an instant, Arwon brought his hands together, sparked the two wrist-plates, and with a bright pulse of energy, a hexagonal blue reflector shield went up around him in an instant. The device was simple, light and reliable, and, more or less indestructable - Lylatian technology at its best. The principle was simple... anything moving above a certain speed was reflected back in the direction it had come from, all kinetic energy reversed. There were limitations of course... but knives were well within the specs, even hundreds.

The hexagonal shield surrounding Arwon pulsated with energy as the innumerable projectiles were sent back exactly the same direction from which they'd come. They embedded in trees, clanged against cement, fell to the ground, and so forth.

Arwon held his staff in a combat position and eyed Sephiroth. What was this? It seemed to be insane. Clearly it wanted Arwon dead. Survival instincts took over... Arwon realised he must fight this messianic abomination or be killed. He was glad he wasn't the religous sort or the chanting and angelic/demonic symbolism might have gotten to him.

Staff in one hand, Arwon took a running start and lept into the air as though to jump over Sephiroth. Once there he seemed to hang for an unnaturally long time - logically enough, being Avian and all that. He spun laterally in mid air, drawing, taking aim, and firing the blaster in one fluid motion... a volley of shots that arced directly down at Sephiroth as the Avian passed over head, before landing gracefully just behind him. He spun around, blaster now back in holster, and brought the staff to bear, swinging several rapid blows at his opponent.

"GAH!" he got blasted in the back by the plasma shots. Growling, he spun around and sent out a forceful wind at Arwon with his wings, before he could physicaly attack, "Power of Wind: Guillotine Gale!" He opened his right hand, pointed at Arwon, and blasts of wind shot out, and was engulfing Arwon. Because of the wind that he brought out against Arwon earlier, this attack would almost hit (think of the wind attack as getting... alota paper cuts). He didn't stop there, "Power of the Moon: Gravity Crush!" A black ball of energy appeared overhead Arwon. Slowly, but surely, it began growing in size, and as it did, so did the gravity, getting heavier with 100 times more force.

The ancient Navi of destruction grinned, "Once your dealt with, I can finished my Final Liberation on the cyber world, and then this entire planet... I would of suceeded, but I was defeated by MegaMan and his blasted friends two years ago..." the fallen angel growled, before clearing his mind and focusing on the task at hand: thanking his releaser... by destroying him...

The demon wind left innumerable tiny cuts on Arwon. They were unimportant. The bigger problem was the building sphere of high gravity that was forming and englufing him.

Arwon was an avian, and a space pilot... he was used to heavy G's, but this was getting pretty close to intolerable. He found himself trapped within the growing orb.

Thinking quickly, Arwon aimed his wrist at Sephiroth and fired a grappling dart connected to a high-tensile and very strong wire. It escaped the vortex of high gravity and ensnared the Navi, lodging into his armour. Arwon grinned... well, grimaced... through the slowly building gravitational field, then retracted the line. Sephiroth, still ensnared, was yanked within the bounds of the high gravity field.

As Sephiroth was pulled in, his momentum increased. He ended up hurtling past Arwon, and was halted at the very core of the sphere, where gravity was heaviest and overcame his momentum... Arwon then used the momentum of Sephiroth being pulled past him, into the sphere, deeper on the gravitational incline, to slingshot himself around the core of the vortex and launch himself free of its grip, like a tennis ball on a string, suddenly released.

Arwon lay on the ground, gasping, bleeding a little, and rolled onto his back to see what had become of the Navi.

Sephiroth recieved minimal damage from the grapple, but then grinned, as a battlechip like chip appeared, "Protochip: Shield of Retaliation!" A barrier of the opposite effect of the gravity surrounded the fallen angel. In a matter of seconds, the gravity was slowly returning to normal, and the ball then vanished, as did the shield.

"That was a clever move... no one has ever used any of my attacks to repell and use to their own advantage... your smarter than Bass ever was... when I beaten him with ease from my awakening from the Star Knights two years ago," the ancient Navi said, a smile crossing his lips. Another chip appeared in his hand, "Protochip: Paradise Lost!" It vanished into his right hand's skin, and he raised it into the air.

"I wonder how'll you'll escape this..." he suddenly flew down at amazing speeds, as if he was going to grab him to execute an attack. He grabbed him by the head, and flown until they were atleast five feet in the air.

"What are you thinking right now Arwon... hmm," the Navi teased his opponent, as his grip tightened around his face, "are you wondering how you'll be able to escape my wrath, huh?" his hand then began glowing, as he pressed his left hand against his stomach, which is also glowing. He chuckled, teasing him more, "I dare you, try and escape from this," he hissed into his ear, a devilish chuckle escaping him.

The grip was firm, crushing... this thing was a good measure stronger than Arwon and those hands were glowing with energy of a force (and pain-dealing capacity) Arwon didn't care to contemplate.. But Arwon was quicker, and his arms were free. And they were airborne.

Arwon had a split second to act... he dropped the staff he was still holding and slipped a pair of throwing knives out from his sleeves. Sephiroth was revelling in the moment and didn't notice the subtle movement - Arwon was obviously held firm and had no chance of escaping, and was about to endure serious pain. No doubt the mad bastard would enjoy it, too.

At the same moment that the now glowing hands began to discharge into him with hideous force, Arwon threw his knives. The Avian pulsated and screamed as the energy discharged into his face and stomach... but Sephiroth too was hurt, he reeled back after a moment as the knives plunged into his two wings. Both having been stunned, the two fell the short distance to the ground.

Arwon recovered surprisingly quickly... the blast had hurt like hell but didn't seem to rattle him mentally as much as he'd expected. He was still in Sephiroth's grip but the attack had abated for the moment. Right then. He'd been reactive for too long and he couldn't keep avoiding the brunt of these attacks forever, it was time for Arwon to deal some damage of his own.

First he needed his staff, the primary (and certainly the easiest to use) conduit of many of his more mystical skills. It'd fallen near him, within reach.

Arwon closed his eyes for a split second, in order to call up the energy that the more spiritual and superstitious called 'mana'. Really, it was another force of the universe, nothing more, nothing less. The trick to channeling these energies is to realise that the raw energy is just raw material to be shaped and manipulated. The staff was a focal point, engineered to hone and intensify these conjurings, but the initial formation of such energy came from the mind. Arwon's mind quickly filled with images of electrical storms, thunder, torrential rain over vast plains. These were easy images to draw on - his childhood on Macbeth had given him ample memories and they came easily.

Arwon's staff glowed an etheral blue, and bolts of intense lightning arced from the end of it in a continuous blast, pumping into the Navi.

(editted for continuity with the post below - the blood thing, and also Sephiroth not falling and maintaining the grapple with Arwon)

Ignoring the pain, he flew much higher -- 30 feet higher to finish Paradise Lost after twenty energy blasts were pelted at his enemy. He flipped him high in the air and grabbed his ankles in both hands, suspending him upside-down, any weapons he had that may be loose fell out from any pockets he had. Sephiroth then planted both feet under his arms and flew straight down, smashing Arwon into the floor head-first at a very fast speed, almost in a dive-bombing move.

He then flew away from the deep crater, and pulled out the blades. The damage was set, but he didn't bleed, he was made out of data, hence being a NetNavi, an ancient Navi for that matter.

He grinned before the lightning crashed against him, damaging him further. He waved his arm, breaking the attack before it continued. "Protochip: Carpet Barrage!" Sephiroth raised his hands and a multitude of war head missiles rained down all around, mostly at Arwon. "Power of Earth: Seismic Quake!" Sephiroth slammed his fist into the floor and caused a massive shockwave to spread out in all directions, which split the surface apart. Some parts of the area were shifted upward, some sank slightly. It didn't do any damage, but it did make the battlefield more challenging to fight in.

What was this thing that didn't bleed and seemed able to neutralise lightning at its whim?

Arwon was dazed and could barely move. He felt the ground shake... Sephiroth had fractured the battlefield with seismic magic. This didn't particularly bother the lithe Avian, he was still more agile than the fallen Angel and was quite at home in the air.

Of more immediate concern was the array of small warheads that would momentarily bear down on him. He could barely move, dodging was not an option. Most of his gadgets, the ones not secured on his person, had fallen loose. However, they didn't appear to be smart missiles, and they mostly rained down in the same direction.

Arwon, lying on his back, poked at his wrist, remotely activating a precisely calibrated electromagnent in his blaster, attuned to the frequency of his wrist plates. He held up his hand and a moment later the blaster flipped through the air and back into his hands. With so many tools to keep track of, and so few hands, this electromagnetic tracking system was invaluable. It just didn't quite work so well with knives...

Arwon began to fire desperately at the missiles. There were many of them, but their numbers worked against them... one exploded, and the explosion destroyed nearby missiles. Moreover, the fact that they all rained in the same direction gave Arwon a workably small cone of fire to concentrate on. And he was a very good shot.

Arwon kept firing, missiles fell all around him, the blasts screaming in his eardrum, the ground shaking, dust getting in his eyes, his mouth, the gritty taste mixing with the blood he already tasted. Still he kept firing.

The missile barrage slowed, and then subsided. Arwon had avoided any direct hits, and his hearing would return momentarily. As for the taste of blood and dust... meh. Not the first time. Arwon's senses gradually returned and he gingerly got up. He regarded Sephiroth, now flying quite a distance above him, for the moment doing nothing.

Arwon's problem was that flight meant that he couldn't use his arms for anything else. He had to find a way to counter Sephiroth's flight advantage. He removed his jacket to enable him to fly more easily.

He executed a small jump to escape the crater pit and glanced around. Some of the swords Sephiroth had conjured earlier still laid around the arena, as did some of Arwon's things which were shaken loose. He grabbed the sword closest to hand, it was a Katana of all things. Sephiroth was well armoured but Arwon banked on him having conjured very strong and absurdly sharp swords capable of slicing this armour to ribbons.

He looked up, and grinned. There was a *ding* noise and then a blue blur towards Sephiroth. Before Sephiroth knew what had happened, there was a slicing sensation across his chest, clean through the golden armour and deep into whatever it was this thing had instead of flesh. There should have been foundains of blood. Arwon was in the air above him, feathered arms keeping him aloft for the moment, allowing him to reposition himself. There was another *ding*, and another blue blur back past Sephiroth and towards the ground, and a second slicing sensation, this time across the angelic wing.

Arwon was on the ground again, still holding the Katana.

When the first attack came, it struck him, but then the barrier that vanished earlier from disabling Gravity Crush appeared, and launched it back towards the source. The barrier flashed before breaking apart, this time it was gone.

The fallen angel smiled, as every sword flickered, including the one in Arwon's hand. They were encased in crystal clear mini boxes, then they split apart by an inch from eachother, before breaking apart, deleted. He brushed off some dust off his armor. Another attack came out on nowhere, a BulkBomb3. It exploded, causing dust and thick smoke to fly into the air. "... Power of Destiny: Eternal Damnation!" Sephiroth's eyes flashed through the thick smoke and a beam of energy shot out along the floor and struck the person who attacked him -- a small child -- vaporizing the kid instantly. Before the beam reached where Arwon was, it stopped and split into three directions, forming a cross -- it didn't damage Arwon when it formed the cross -- before it dimmed, leaving behind the laser trail burned into the ground.

"I wonder who else would be foolish enough to step up to me during a fight... Power of Fire: Inferno Tempest!" The ancient Navi held out his hand and a massive blast of fire shot out and incinerated a massive portion of the land, killing anyone else that were hiding, plus the heat could harm Arwon if he wasn't used to being around tempratures exceeding 170 degrees (think of it as a wide spread forest fire, or during that Burning Town cut scene from Final Fantasy VII ). The flames continued to burn, as Sephiroth landed.

"Feels like Deja 'vu... this is what happened to CreamLand's net area two years ago when I rampaged chaos... nice old memories." They both heard something that looked like tanks rolling through the flames from far off. It looked like this group that Arwon works for.

"So you asked for help? I'm sorry but this I won't allow. Protochip: Zone Deleter!" He flew high into the air and shot a beam of energy from his finger, which he used to carve a circle around the portion of the land containing the oncoming tanks. Arwon looked up as the god-like being fired off a ball of energy into the air. A short moment later, a massive energy beam instantly shot straight down and struck the center of the circle, wiping out everything within it. The barrier vanished, leaving a large crater. Nothing remained, not even the metal tanks themselves.

"The flames seem to be getting more hotter for me... I'll do something about it. Power of Water: Raging Tsunami!" A massive tidal wave washed over, smoking out the flames, but it may also of drowned Arwon since he was in it's path. "Why not drown you instead of suffocate you with heat?" he said, laughing out loud.

(OOC: Starting to get into the elemental territory now, something dark, powerful and hated within him... I haven't really used this side of the character before, but it seems to fit)

The landscape was now quite flooded. After a moment, water erupted upwards like Moses parting the red sea, then flowed outwards, leaving an empty space within the torrent. It was as though an invisible barrier was holding the water out of a circle surrounding Arwon. He also had his staff once more, which he was holding horizontally above his head.

Arwon's eyes now pulsated with some previously unseen power. The sudden onslaught of elemental magical energies - first fire, then water - and an ever mounting raw animal rage, had built up an intense, elementally-based power within him.

No longer was Arwon judiciously drawing on, controlling and channeling these energies precisely, but they were simply roaring and seething through him - he couldn't have repressed them if he tried. Access to this realm of the physical universe was a legacy of Andross's ghastly genetic experiments with his people's natural sensitivity to them, but these skills Arwon only drew on sparingly. He hated the fact that the thing he dispised the most was what made him strong, and he hated the cost at which it had come.

The waters that were being held at bay now flowed inwards, converging at Arwon's feet, before seeming to flow upwards, lifting Arwon into the air on a geyser of spiralling water until he was at Sephiroth's height. The Avian sat nonchalantly and cross-legged on the unnatural geyser, staff held casually at his side.

His eyes flared, and locked with Sephiroth's.

Arwon: "I asked for no help. I assume that's the local defence force you just wiped out.... with the mess we've been making it is ahrdly surprising that they'd have come. I work alone, I always have. Well, since Andross, at least. I've fought armies before, I led the invasion and the purging of Katina... and I'm still here, don't think you can cast me off so lightly, and don't think you can intimidate me by destroying a few tanks."

Sephiroth: "I had wondered what powers laid within you that allowed you to release me. A mere bounty hunter couldn't have been worthy!"

Arwon: "What I do with my life, and why I do it, is of no consequence."

The air around Arwon began to heat up. The water column receeded, seemingly released from whatever was holding it up. Arwon dropped back smoothly into the waters, obscured from view, but only for a moment. Soon, the water all around where he had dropped was seething and steaming.

A moment later, the waters surged once more. Arwon came hurtling out of the water in a flying leap, now enshrouded in a pocket of searingly heated air (think of this as an über-variation on the Firey up+B move in Smash Brothers) and beyond that, a torrent of boiling water that turned him into a kind of sentient geyser.

Arwon now flew rapidly towards Sephiroth, more or less tackling him. For a moment, they hung there in mid-air, Arwon at Sephiroth's back, using the staff to choke Sephiroth in a headlock. The searing, scalding torrent that surrounded Arwon now surrounded Sephiroth too, and surged all around him.

Arwon then proceeded to drag Sephiroth back down into the tempestuous water, and as the two splashed into it and below the surface, Arwon moved through the water as though it wasn't there, it offered no more resistance than an atmosphere might. He held the fallen angel (now literally!) below the water's surface, aiming to both scald and drown him. The heat rippled around the now seemingly possessed Avian's body, continuing to boil the water more and more intensely. Arwon pulled the staff tighter, pressing the choke-hold harder as the water continued to seethe.

Being locked in this positiion, he couldn't control his Aqua attack, and it seemed to simmer down into the soil, before being absorbed by the earth completely. Struggling, he elbowed him as much as he can into his stomach, before grabbing his head, flip him over his shoulder, into the ground.

Sephiroth was grasping for breath, before he grinned. Now he's not playing anymore. "Protochip: Ultima Flare!" The entire battlefield flashed brightly before both Arwon and Sephiroth got surrounded in a green sparkling mist and starlight like explosions erupting around Arwon around five times before the original battlefield returned.

He took flight, to distance himself from Arwon, then landed on the ground. "Other than ForteZero, and Serenade, your the third person who was able to last this long against me... hmm..." Sephiroth had a quizzed look on his face, "I sense a Dark Soul within yourself..." He then gave Arwon if he got up a wicked smile. He raised his hands into the air, as the chip appeared and vanished into his skin, "Protochip: Tides of Terror!" From a distance, a black tital wave appeared. It was pure black, like the darkness of space itself. It washed over Sephiroth, before washing over Arwon, and vanishing. If Arwon did contained some sort of darkness within himself, or his soul, the damage from Tides of Terror would be much higher, for it not only does physical damage, but it does mental or psychological damage as well.

"I grow bored of using the earth's plain for our battle... Protochip: Instant Transmission!" Sephiroth then vanished into thin-air, before Arwon too vanished in thin-air. Somewhere in the dark regions of the Undernet, Sephiroth reappeared, along with Arwon, both still have their distance from eachother.

"Arwon... other than the human Maverick Hunter David Lee Abbott, I welcome you to the internet... Welcome to the darkest regions: The Undernet." He flashed a smile to him and let out an evil laugh. It was the place where he was defeated by MegaMan and all his friends in combat. It was the last place of his Final Liberation, before Black Earth and Secret Net. This attracted alot of attention from the UnderNavis, as they looked at the bird-like Navi who seemed to have suffered from battle damage or something. Once they laid eyes on the fallen angel, dispair and udder terror washed over their digital bodies, and their minds cliciked. That was why the bird like Navi was in pain and suffered some damage...

"Oh my god.... Sephiroth has returned!" one of them shouted, as most of the UnderNavis ran for their lives. All the viruses within the area had also run off in fear.

"What the hell..." ForteZero said, eyeing a bird like person a short distance from Sephiroth, who he completely feared from eversince the final battle, "You couldn't of..." The White Shadow was filled with fear.

FORTEZERO LOGGING OUT

"Hmm... ForteZero?" he said out loud, "That was... The Black Shadow's brother..." Sephiroth grinned, before he turned his attention to Arwon... who was out of his sight. Sephiroth's eyes then widen, as he looked around for his opponent.

OOC: Instant Transmission has teleported us to the RockMan EXE universe. Also in doing so, you have rergained some of your HP. The reason why is Sephiroth is one of my strongest (and only evil) characters. His HP count is slightly high, so it's only fair you regain some HP recovery when being teleported.

OOC:

"Udder terror!" Heeeeee.

I'll post later, I'm extremely busy today.

And actually, is there somewhere I can read some background and explanation of this new place? Have we been physically transported, is my character now merely a representation of the other-world character in some kind of virtual reality?

OOC: If you call it that. The Undernet is basically a lower part of the internet, part of the Cyber World. Sephiroth transported us both to his home universe, Earth in the year 20XX of the RockMan EXE (MegaMan Battle Network) universe. The earth in 20XX has entered the net society, basically where life is mainly based around using the net for everyday things. The Cyber World is the internet version of Earth. Humans have electronic devices called PETs, which means PErsonal Terminal. Humans also control Net Navigators, known as NetNavis. They are the human's alter-ego's of the cyber world. That is the basic knowlege of the RockMan EXE universe. The parts below is based off a fanfic of mine on Fanfiction.net.

During the year 19XX, there was a project at a place called SciLabs (in the human plane) where the first NetNavi was created, aside from the Primal Internet named Project Alpha, and Dr. Cossacks research on creating the first Independant Navi Bass.EXE. That first Navi's name was Sephiroth. Sephiroth was the test subject for the creation of Battlechips, during then, they were called Protochips, Proto meaning beta stages of a project or projects.

"It's because Sephiroth was the Protochip test subject. The scientists who were in charge of the project downloaded every single Protochip that had been manufactured to test them out. And just like today's Navis, the chip data was stored in him. However, what made Sephiroth different was that he could reuse that chip data whereas MegaMan, for example, can only record and log it." - Quote: Dr. Hikari

It was years later, that a net crime organization called the Dark Nation went to release Sephiroth by collecting fifteen codes. He was released once again by the Star Knights (and were quickly betrayed by the white haired Navi), and he went to finish what he started years ago, but in a final battle that took place in the Undernet, three Navis -- Bass Gospel Soul, MegaMan Hub Style, and ProtoMan Muramasa Style -- were able to bring him down. To that day, he was forgotten, and his PET was destroyed since Sephiroth ceased to exist.... until... one person was foolish enough to release him from a prison where his soul was rumored to lay in another dimension on an alternate universe.

Now about Arwon, he is still what he is, but to most of the Navis in the Cyber World he may be mistaken for a NetNavi when he is clearly a living person that was teleported into the Cyber World because of Sephiroth's Instant Transmission Protochip.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ForteZero returned to his PET, and the first thing that greeted his audio sensors, was his Net-op David, singing the lyrics to "Song of Truth". (It's a song from the anime show InuYasha)

"akaku nijimu taiyou wa subete o
terashite kita ima mo mukashi mo
kono yuuyami ni egaiteru souzou wa
hatashite kono te ni oenai mono na no ka?

"motto ima ijou ni hadaka ni natte
ikite yuku jutsu oshiete yo
honno sukoshi dake watashi o yogoshite
sou yatte hitori kizutsuitari
mawari o nakushita to shite mo
shinjitsu no uta wa kono mune ni nagare

"arasoi wa mada tsuzukun darou
dono michi ima ga taisetsu na no sa
gamushara ni natte miotoshite kita mono
tatoeba dare ka no yasashii hohoemi mo

"eien o shireba donna kurayami mo
itami mo itsuka kiete
sou yatte ima wa watashi o yogoshite
zutto mukashi mita tenkuu no shiro ni
itsuka wa tadoritsukeru
shinjitsu no uta o michishirube ni shite

"eien o shireba donna kurayami mo
itami mo itsuka kiete
shinjitsu no uta wa kono mune ni nagare

"motto ima ijou ni watashi o yogoshite
hon no sukoshi dake watashi o yogoshite

"shinjitsu no uta o michishirube ni shite"

ForteZero sweatdropped, before he interupted once the song finished. "Umm David?"

The black haired teenager turned around after drinking down a Big Gulp (20oz Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper). "Yeah, what ForteZero?"

"Sephiroth has somehow returned from deletion!" David's eyes widen as he spat out his drink, slightly coughing. His girlfriend Alia came in and patted David's back so he can breathe again.

"Wh... what? That's bull..."

"Here, I prove it to you." ForteZero's eyes went dull as ones and zeros scrolled across them, before vanishing. A window opened up, revealing the Undernet, the area where Sephiroth was first defeated two years ago. Both David and Alia gasped when they saw the white haired Navi fo destruction before them. They also saw some sort of bird like Navi crouching down, before he vanished. Sephiroth didn't know he vanished before he looked forward and noticed his opponent was no where to be seen. The window then closed.

"Holy shit... we need to tell Mr. Famous and Dr. Hikari right away. ForteZero, you head to Scilabs, I'll be there shortly." ForteZero nodded before David jacked him into the net, and he took a cyber link straight to Scilab's computer. David pressed a button on his Command Armor, and quickly transformed into his Command Armor. He scooped up Alia into his strong arms, opened the patio doors, and took flight at fast speeds.
