| I can imagine some pretty funny sencarios... O_o ---- Cashier: "It will be many dollars for the sandwich, sir." Customer: "How many dollars?" Cashier: "I said many dollars." Customer: "That's what I'm asking, how MANY dollars?" Cashier: "Many dollars. Can't you read?" Customer: "I am asking you HOW. MANY. DOLLARS." Cashier: "MANY. I've told you many times already!" Customer: "GAH!" ---- Teacher: "Okay, class, what's one plus many? Student: "Two many!" Teacher: "Correct!" ---- RPG: "Congrats! Hero has gained a level! He gained two HP! He gained one MP! He gained many ATK! He gained two DEF! He gained many EVA!" Player: "Whoo-hoo! I'm at level many!" ---- And so on. It'd just be really strange and funny to be only able to count as one, two and many. | Years ago, I joked with my friends that I was going to make a number system that was 0 and 82. If something wasn't 0, it was 82. Then I would just write (82)N. Unless, of course the answer was 0. Then I'd ace class no problem. Of course, if the world really was like this, we'd come up with some way of telling how many. Probably just by making up new words for the numbers. We might have a different base, though. |
