| If the planet being discovered doesn't bother you, then NASA shouldn't either. They found it. And last I checked, discovering a new planet is big news, even if the topic is old. People like NASA because they make advancements with knowledge on the whole. If you don't like them because they spend money, then you must hate a lot of people and companies. What's the point. | Actually... The discovery, announced today by Mike Brown of Caltech, came just hours after another newfound object, one slightly smaller than Pluto, was announced. "It's definitely bigger than Pluto," said Brown, who is professor of planetary astronomy. The object could be up to twice as large as Pluto, Brown told reporters in a hastily called NASA-run teleconference Friday evening. The guy who found number 10 doesn't work at NASA, so NASA didn't really find it. But they'll try to take credit. |

| The USA has enough problems. Why should we venture out into space and complicate things, especially if we do it half-assed with old rocketships and equipment? I just don't think it is well planned out. If we overhauled the space program and made it better, I'd be somewhat okay with it then. As for hating other organizations for spending money, most of them have a focus and right to do so. Its messing with things bigger than us. Were we meant to explore the outermost limits of this whole universe? Have we outlasted the master plan? Can we surivive the next armegeddon? Should we? =P Snika |
