For all the odd things. I got a DVD player for $5.99. The clerk didn't notice a $1.99 sticker on the universal remote, so that was free. When I plug in a power cable and open the tray, a movie called "enemy at the gates" was inside. It was free also (just like Madden 2004 had been left in my PS2). None of my remotes worked, so I just hit play. It turned out to be a rather interesting WWII film. I'll probably go back and watch the rest sometime. Those guys in the beginning were like perfect sharpshooters or whatever it's called. What accuracy! Enough on that. The DVD player is a Toshiba SD-1700, and the remote is RCA D770. I need to know if that remote can be programmed to work with the player. If so, give some instructions. For reference, here's links to the manuals. http://tacpservice.toshiba.com/ConsumerProductSupport/Manuals/DVD/sd1700.pdf http://download.ethomson.com/english/RCA/ACCESSORIES/IB/D770.pdf Aside from what appears to be a noisy motor during playback, it was the cheapest DVD player I've ever seen. Great video and sound quality. With a free remote (it even had good batteries inside!), and movie, I did well. By the way, it happens to be that this remote will control the RCA DVD player I've had for years. Not that it matters, it's included remote still works fine. |

Erm.. you didn't get instructions to go with the remote and/or DVD player itself? Usually there's some button combo you do to set it and make it work for your DVD player.. it's in the instruction book. | |||

$6 dollar DVD player where were you able to buy this? if the universal remote has support for DVD players, then you should be able to use it. Just lookup how you program the remote control and go from there. Many universal remote controls I've run into only control TV-VCR-Cable |

Originally posted by neotransotakuxD I was wondering that same thing. How did you get a $6 DVD player. Also alot of people just throw away manuals when they get thier machines. That is why I was having trouble with my remote. No manual to look at. (edited by Thomas on 07-25-05 03:57 PM) (edited by Thomas on 07-25-05 03:58 PM) |
