Well, I have noticed more then 6 posts from the same guy in one newbie thread...I think we need a limit, because people are feeding off newbie threads. There should be a limit of 4 posts in one newbie thread. You would think someone would post this by now...

People in the newbie forums tend to have conversations. I really don't find any problem with that... Everywhere else, people have little conversations, or make comments here and there. Why should the newbie forum, or thread, I shall say, be any different?

I agree with Chris. I understand where you're coming from, but you can't just judge on how many posts a person makes. It's really about their content.

What bothers me more about the Newbie Forum is people who copy and paste the same line in every thread, without putting thought into anything.

I don't think its a good idea either. As the others said its not about how many posts but more about posting quality.

It's not the people that start the thread that bothers me, it's people that post in the thread, for example, someone says, "Welcome to Acmlms!" Then the next person posts "Welcome to the board". Identical posts are not what I would call Welcome. I re-call one post saying," I like it in here, I'm gonna keep posting ". I won't tell who it was, because I don't like telling on people...I would feel like a pre-schooler.

Please god don't make a rule like this. Just today at Pokecommunity a moderator deleted one of my posts because I was having a convo with a new member. If you guys start making crap rules like PC this forum would go to hell.......so I agree with Chris...

Personally I don't mind some of thoose posts, people should be able to chat about whatever in the Newbie forum.

However, I do agree with YD. If someone posts the same line in every thread... like someone did at a certain point.

I thought you meant 'more than one thread by one person'.

That I could see having a limit on, such as no more than one thread, otherwise it's pointless spamming of threads. Intro thread is really all you need as it is.

As for the convos though, it's pretty harmless, and if nothing else it's addition to forum activity where it's not really that bad. I don't go in there myself but then I'm usually not dragging people here anymore.
