I would put this in General Gaming, but this is pretty crazy in itself:

http://bisqwit.iki.fi/nesvideos/movies.cgi?id=380

Megaman X and Megaman X2 beat at the same time with a margin of one frame difference. Trick is it uses one input and plays both games simultaneously. I can't really believe people are sane enough to do this.

Author wants to do all three on the SNES too...that's just...nuts.

..Wow.
I don't know how he could focus on moving both at the same time doing the same thing and not get hurt.. that's really impressive.
I'm having trouble getting the movie to play. What does it open with?

Danielle, it's on Bisqwit's site, it's obviously tool-assisted, therefore making it not impressive Still cool though.

Need Bittorrent to DL the AVI. AVI plays with stuff like VLC or MPC or just anything you use to play AVIs.

And yea, it's tool-assisted. If you think there'd be someone sane enough to do it without, I'd like to see them try.

WMP sux. :\ VLC Media Player ran it just fine.

Try getting FFDShow while you're at it. That should fix it. Majority of their stuff requires it.

Even tool-assisted, accomplishing the feat is fucking sick, I don't care what anyone says.

I have to actually grab this and watch it sometime.

Oh I couldn't believe it myself. A good 90% of it was 'holfwtf?!XD' to me. Some of it looked repetitive but it was to make sure that both did well enough to finish at the same time. It went back and forth with X2 usually getting emphasis more than X, probably because in X2 there's a lot more to do. X gets abused.

There was some glitch that seemed to bug out though by playing them both at once. Something about hitting spikes on the wall and not doing any damage on the X side while the X2 side was working on nuking a boss. I think it was on the Boomer Kuwanger stage when you go up the platform close to the boss.

There were a few other things, but most of this blew me away.

You can even jump off spikes if you are flashing invinciblity (makes it much easier to get that one heart in X2), did something like that happen there?

In the rising plats portion of X, no. X2 there were a few instances were he took damage like that to jump up and save time.

Holy frack, that's completely insane. So I could load that movie into either ROM and it'd beat the game? Even with save states, that's just mind-blowing.

Of course, it's easy to do if you just pause one game while you play the other. You'd still be using the same input for both.

dehacked is quite awesome to put two games running in one controller I loved the movie myself, especially the part when he started fighting final boss at same time and ending it at same time. It takes quite a bit skill to follow both games simultaneously and managing throughout the game nicely.

But following three at same time is, although possible, incredibly hard even with tool-assisting.

I wonder when people start competing in dual-gaming and aiming for fastest time at the same time.
