that you can use different palettes for Bowser's Valley and the Vanilla Dome? I'm asking, because I have to use another palette for each submap or otherwise it will look crappy.

Thanks in advance.

Go to overworld editor:
1.Menu 'OverWorld'
2.Item 'Change Colors and palettes'
3.Menu 'Vanilla dome' or 'Bowser's world' depending which you like to edit.
4. Change colors (If you aren't sure which colors the ground is, switch around a bit between two different palettes, the colors that change are the ones you need)

Hope that helped

The Problem is, that both, Vanilla Dome AND Bowsers Alley use BOTH the SAME Palette. Changing colours in one, changes the colours in the other too.
Try it.

just to clear this up: Vanilla Dome and Valley of Bowser share a palette, change one and the other copies it. sorry Apocalypse, but Ice Man is no n00b, and experts like him don't ask questions as simple as the one you assumed he asked.

Unfortunately Ice man, I think you would need to figure out where the pointer to the palette is, and then copy the palette into a RATS tag and repoint it, otherwise you would need to split the palettes like I do. ex. Rows 0 + 1 are for the dome submap, and 2 + 3 are for the valley submap. Limited, but it works. Still, it depends on how LM reads the palette files. If it reads them as one, and you repoint, then it will not look the same in LM as it does in-game, and you will be hex editing one of the submaps. Sorry, but that's the best I can do.

If you don't plan on using the palette that appears after you complete Special World you might be able to repoint Bowser's Castle palette to Bowser's Castle Special World palette.

I already disabled the special world palette by choosing level 13C as the event level, because it's not used in my hack.

@Darkflight: Since I'm not any good at ASM, I will try to use the palette like you suggested it, thanks.

What I meant was that if you weren't using that special world palette (which you're not) then you might be able to tell the game to always load the special world palette for Bowser's Castle but no other palette. That way you have a totally different palette to work with for Bowser's Castle but Vanilla Dome uses the regular one.
