Find an ant. Rip off its legs. Put a drop of sugar water on the floor in front of it. Turn the lights out. Boom. Spiders all over it in no time. |

Eww, that's gross! I hate spiders! However, my brother used to point at them with a flashlight to get them down from the ceiling. He said it was like they just came down when he did that. Then he caught 'em in jars. |

Yeah, I'll agree with Boom.dk. Spiders are creepy. How about a way to repel them?

"Help meee.... heellllp meeeeeeee!" A quick google search reveals that hobo spiders are attracted to the banana scent on a Bugaboo brand spider trap. HyperHacker, why on earth would you want to attract spiders? I don' like spiders either. Or any insect with too many legs. Millipedes *shudder* |

Talking about many-legged insects... Have anybody here seen one of the big centipedes? I heard they can be up to 1 meter (approx. 3.3 feet) long. Last year in Greece I found one 15 centimeters (approx |

I call bull shit on that. The largest centipedes only reach 12 inches and live in Central America. The largest millipedes grow to 11 inches and live in Congo. Not today mister. |

Holy f... I tell you man, if that spider had dropped onto my head, I'd probably be dead by now. Edit: Ziff, I wouldn't be so sure... My bro was REALLY into bugs. It was like he brought scorpions and other creepy stuff home from eastern countries in Europe. (edited by Boom.dk on 07-11-05 04:08 AM) |

Hi, I may be a history student...but I still run with etymologists and herpatologists more than I do anyone else. There is no centipede or millipede that gets over a foot long.

From Wikipedia and I quote: "They are highly segmented (15 to 173 segments), with one pair of walking legs per segment." "They only rarely have 100 legs, normally having around half that, though it is possible to find centipedes with over 200 legs." This along with the fact that the segments on the centipede I saw was around 0.5 centimeters makes me think that they can at LEAST get a (edited by Boom.dk on 07-11-05 04:17 AM) (edited by Boom.dk on 07-11-05 04:30 AM) |

If you get the right kind of cat you wont have a spider problem anymore. My friend has 2 house cats... and no more spiders. For attracting them... yeah, bait will work. |
