I made this with RPG Maker XP. I tried to create a platforming action game in the Metroid Style. Ended up using actual Metroid rips. Anyways, check it out, its most definetly not even close to finished, lol or even working right...but I just wana see if its worth continuing this project. it was cool, hard to jump, and pretty akward at that, but if you learn ruby/rgss, you can really make a good game out of it...I think I saw a platformer script somewhere. ill check and edit this post if I find it. | |||

Yeah, when you jump onto a platform Samus sometimes goes through the platform one tile. You have to jump straight up to get out. Sometimes "gravity" doesent work so you jump off a platform and land on invisible floor. Again just jump straight up and you will fall back down to floor level. If enough people say they see potential in this project, I will attempt to learn the scripting language. | |||

There were a few bugs, but it's well done anyway. There is potential in this. The things which you've already gotten to work only need a little improvement, and once you finish those you could easily do more. | |||

Well thanks you very much. Thats all I wanted to hear. The new version now has a much more fluid and smooth jumping system. Im also in the process of rehauling the "shooting" system. I think Samus will not have any ranged attacks. (unless I find a good shooting script). She will have lots of different and unique short range attacks. Sword blade thingy, forcefield thingy, stuff like that. Suggestions would be nice. Anyway. Version 0.2 will have lots more content and should be uploaded in about 2-3 days. |
