| My mom broke the thing my brother said, "Mess up again, and Austin'll have to move." I'm kinda scared and I wonder if this should be in the officer's club. My brother is arranging for me to livve off of my disability checks in my own apartment. It's like..... everythings going to change. More importantly, I'm probably not going to have internet for a while. What with bills and stuff. This is going to be the change of my life. |

Thanks Ziff. You're not so bad afterall  I don't know what the hold-up is. I'm supposed to be by myself in my own apartment wasting away by now. Mom's still not home after her last mess up, and it's taking forever to move out. I know I'm going to move, but when? It's tearing me apart. I haven't even packed up yet! |

Well, you have the option to move out, so at least you have some choice. I however, am only 16 and apparently can't move out . I just try to spend as much time away from my family as possible. Just go take walks, hang out with friends, go to the store, buy food, just anything that will keep me out of the house. The computer is also good, it gets your mind of things sometimes. On the plus size, I am getting my excersise that is long over-do. I walked 10km just a few days ago at like 3 AM.So just keep your self occupied and ignore your mom. Move if you want, but remember, you always have your brother to talk to where you are now. Have you talked to your mom about anything yet? |

| Yes, I have and she's not happy about it. Seeing her so upset really hurts. I keep thinking this is better for both her and I, but..... I'm kinda scared that I cannot be helped very well when I'm on my own. I keep thinking I'm not responsible enough. Plus, she said to me, if I move out, she will get a one room apartment (as apposed to two rooms like I am currently at with her) so there will be no turning back after I move. |

| Despite what your mom says, it's not like you'll never see her if you move out. This is a step that everyone has to take, doing so for yourself just has some extra meaning. You have a brother that's willing to look out for you, and your mom would probably not turn you down if you ever needed help. She's probably scared of you moving out, and you are too, but it's part of life. Maybe she'll get a news flash when you do this, which is ultimately what you want. I think it will do more good than bad if you take this opportunity. Also, are you college bound? |

| It's a good thing because then you get to go out there and experience things for yourself. I wish you good luck on that..my parents probably don't want me to leave but one day I will since its cheaper with the college thing and all. Eh get cheap internet..or something if not don't worry about it. Things should fall into place You're an adult now and she has to be able to realize that it's time. You can still talk to her and keep in touch with her. you're not fallling off the face of the planet |

| juno, netzero have a deal of 10 hours of free internet a month if you can surive being online no more than 2.5 hours a week... hmm...circumstances are probably beyond your control--all what you are feeling is understandable; one thing i wonder is how exactly does this effect you? you say your brother messed up i believe and yet you are forced to move out. but yeah, like others said, maybe this is now your opportunity to start being independent (to a certain extent). We will all be here to help you as best we can so yeah, don't feel like you are alone because you really aren't |

| It's my mom that's messing up. My brother is SUPPOSEDLY moving me out. It's really rough here right now. Mom just sold my cell phone without my permission. Not to mention she also sold the DVD/VHS Player, too. My life is ruining and I'm waiting for a better one. EDIT: My mom caved. She came down the stairs in tears. She said to me she will never hurt me this way again and if she does, she'd be willing to take her own life. I can't leave after hearing this. Also, on the plus side, she said she will return the favor by giving me back everything she took from me. I request for this thread to close. This is no longer a problem. I'm staying put here!
