There is also a Vietnamese and Japanese zodiac, which I do follow..the difference is Japan has a boar and not a pig, and the Vietnamese have no bunny but they DO have the cat..it is all sort of interesting, more than anything for me. Interesting how there is so many coincidences.

The only superstition that I believe in is that if you say something, it's bound to happen in some way, shape or form.

Black cats, cracks, salt, black salty cracks, all that stuff is just bologna. I don't believe in any of it. But you see now that I just said that I don't believe it, something bad is going to happen involving it. Curse my damn imagination!!

Black cats are hot.

I haven't done the ladder thing but then I don't really believe in superstitions. My dad has told me that if you pick up a penny on heads then it's bad luck so when I see one or any kind of change I make sure it's on heads .

I look at astrology and zodiac sometimes..intersting but eh it's only when I'm bored.

I'm not really superstitious... My favorite number is 13 and my cat is black (well, kinda), but I do always throw some salt over the shoulder if I spill some.

Here's a list of superstitions. My favortite one is:

To cure a cough: take a hair from the coughing person's head, put it between two slices of buttered bread, feed it to a dog, and say, "Eat well you hound, may you be sick and I be sound."

Most my superstitions are baseball related...

I don't wash my cap until the season is over, and sometimes still don't.
I wear the same socks everygame, on the same foot, the socks are marked.
I don't button the top button on my jersey, incredibly bad luck.
When I go up to bat, I kick dirt just before I enter the box, again for good luck.
After making an error, taking off your hat and shaking out all the frustration is a must.

Kinda stupid but it works.

I'm not superstitious either. The most recent superstition I came across is one of those stupid chain letters through e-mail that you send to 10 different people or more in 15 minutes and if you don't, consider yourself cursed for 10 years. That's stupid and I got one of those yesterday. No, I didn't send this to 10 different people because I came back from out of town yesterday and the letter was sent about an hour before I got home. It's ridiculous how people believe in most of these superstitions like not putting a 13th floor in a tall building that's over 13 stories high because 13 is unlucky.

Some don't really work on me but I believe in some.

-Never leave a bowl of rice with the chopsticks shoved into the rice. That means you want the cook to die.
-If you want a day of bliss, take a large acorn with the top still intact and place it on your windowsill before you go to sleep. This only works for one day. Two acorns don't make it any better, and could make a bad day.
-Never walk under a ladder, something is bound to fall and crush your head. Common sense.

That's exactly how my brother is. He's obsessed with the baseball superstitions. His hat by the end of the season is so covered in layers of sweat.. oh god the smell is sickening.
He's also got this thing about which pants he wears, it's so weird. Not to mention his eating ritual before games that he must follow or else he'll have a fit. Yes, a near adult throwing a fit over what he eats before a game. It's almost funny.

I play softball, and I don't believe in any of those superstitions. And I haven't really had any bad luck yet.. so I'm cool.

Ah! That isn't what I meant really >.< I meant the coincidence was the similarity between my zodiac animal and me! And between other people I know. I also thought it was kind of neat how the people that I am closest to are the Zodiac animals I'm supposed to get along with the best. Oh, and Cruel Justice! I beleive in a couple of those, too. . .actualy. Even though I am not so very supersticious =|
