I just need to talk about this a little. So a few days ago, a friend of mine from Balitmore, Kit, (I live in New Jersey) came up for a visit and to hang and all. He brought a friend with him, a nice girl named Kelly. Thanks to them, I actually got to go outside of my house for the first time in a month or so (well, socially speaking, anyway). We watched Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and I somehow managed to break my other friends toilet. Bloody mess. Spent two hours cleaning it up. Anyway, the next morning we get a phonecall. It's Kellys father. He tells her that she needs to come home immediately. Something terrible had happened. If she couldnt get taken home, he would drive up here himself and take her back. Her mother had gotten into a car accident. For a while I didn't hear much else about it than that. The details are even worse. She was in a head on collision, around 50mph or so (and without a seatbelt). The other driver had crossed the yellow line into oncoming traffic and nailed her. The last I heard she was in a coma, in shock trauma. They have been operating on her for a few days now. I don't know if she'll live or not. I feel bad for her... but that feeling seems useless. What the hell good is feeling sorry going to do? Is it going to bring her mother back to health? Is it going to keep her form dying? Futile.. futile... It has been a terrible few days. Hmmph, and all that happens the day I decide to actually go OUT. |

If you get into the mind set that something bad will happen every time you go out you'll live a very lonely boring life. Feeling sorry really won't do anything, but being there and supporting Kelly will make her feel better, which is really all you can do. ~Delial |

I don't actually think like that, but it is a thought that comes to mind. There really isn't much I can do for kelly. She lives so far away from me... bah. I guess I will have to ask Kit for her screen name or something. |
