Interesting... a PC game?


A few posts back I posted an in-progress "Neo Green Hill Zone" version of Aquatic Ruin. Here it is again, with a combination of bricks and checkerboards.. and an unfished slope, complete with half-column


A beginning of a completely new tileset, based off Sky Base Zone in Sonic 1 SMS/GG.

Mapman sprites for "Ladies Night Out"

Completed the 'mapman' sprites for the non-promoted characters. Certainly did better than with GNO, I think.

What I'm working on now in Sonic 2. Look familiar to anyone?
Unfortuantely, it's an edited Oil Ocean Zone, which means I have to disable the OOZ effects before I can take a good ingame screen.

Yeah, they really do look better than the sprites in GNO. I like the new black mage the best.

anyway folks gates of time was cancelled and my work was ported over 2 zelda rom hacks made by other people and you guys will get to play these later this year or early next.. that's all i can say.

This isn't really rom-hacking... but......



Just a little game I'm working on because I didn't want to work on my "real" game project. This has been part time-killer, part educational, and part real project.

The idea is you're that mouse-with-a-bandanna in the lower left corner and you have to rescue all your buddy mice from these places. But there's mazes and baddies in the way. The good graphics in this screen (mice, turtles, dog-looking guys, etc) were provided by Setzer (wub you). I did the shitty filler graphics (that hideous yellow triangle thing -- supposed to be cheese, that [G] thing, etc). Drag has provided various sound effects and will hopefully hook me up with some BGM as well ^^

I thought I was sorta original when I came up with the idea, but later I realized it's a lot like OddWorld in concept. And then later someone mentioned it reminded them a lot of Krusty's Super Funhouse -- only the mice don't die when they reach their goal. So I guess it's not as original as I thought ;P

not given, but inserted them myself so still a lot of work.. new areas etc.. say everything from GoT will make it in these two hacks... that means overworlds, dungeon ideas, some sprites, the inventory also and made custom titles also... so it's not really a lost. actually i should have made it a group hack from the start because we would have a full hack by now...

this isn't all of a sudden because ive been doing this in silence for about a month now.. these guys even wanted me to be quiet about it.. but anyways i called this porting project, codename: the end.. my end at romhacking. you see tommorow is my 25th birthday. i already spend a lot of time hacking these two years, made many attemps at finishing zelda 3 hacks, even made a faq.. but it was enough for me, i endure painful times of loneliness/solitude while hacking.. kinda even lose some of my social life in the process because i was stuck in making the hack. working an hour or two seemed like it wasnt progressing at all. so you guys can easily guess i was working much more time a day...

but anyway, no need to suicide over that.. theres really nothing lost here.. instead three group hacks to look forward to this year/early next:

-dark prophecy
-tower of the triforce *full edition*
-surprise hack

rest assured that im credited in all three games for either overworlds, dungeons, title screens, menus, inventory screen, sprites, some custom gfx and much more...

so almost all of my work was donated to these good hacks. aside these theres also that hack in the works by neonswift, the long awaited *quest for calatia* and another one *uncomfirmed* secret zelda 3 hack also you guys can all wait next year or later.

I must admit to borrowing the graphics from Sonic Crackers... (Which is why I asked if it looked familiar, actually...)
