Neat idea. Development is temporarily suspended until I get my new motherboard though. This is an old screenshot, some things have been added and the graphics use Lunar Compress now, so if I could get that to work they wouldn't be glitched (this particular tileset isn't, since it's not compressed ). Alright, long enough to keep this too underwraps. SMB2DX (inspired by BMF, DD, Rockman, Chickenlump, and Acmlm). Whew, that's a lot of people. There's even more than that. Some graphic changes. ... and used the horizonal life bar from old notes of Acmlm's. A bouncing shell ASM hack. NOTE: I only used this screen shot to show I did it, not because the graphics look like that. Bloopers and Bumpties, oh my! An attempt to make SMB2 look more SNES-ish. Warp to World 3?! |

Yeah I know this isn't the SMW forum, but we have no such thread there. I haven't actually done much work on Ninji Saga 2 other than preparing some graphics. I should get back into it. Here's a pic of what a tileset I've put together will likely look like ingame. I think I've stuck to SMW's limitations. Part of the background is edited from SMAS I think, but most of it was hacked together from a New Super Mario Bros. screenshot. For the record, I highly advise against making tilesets from blurry JPEGs. Oh, and can't wait for your SMB2 hack Chill. |

Heh, forgot to mention the title screen change. I'm goint to look into the code a little bit closer and make the entire screen black out before showing the -STAFF-. I just hope I can remember the offset for the vertical and horizonal blackout areas. Though, it might be harder to figure out where it's supposed to stop. By the way, the screenshot is slightly outdated as I've figured out how to change the text since then. As for moving the hearts closer together, I should have changed the graphics first, then move everything. I'll get on it. As for the other screenshots posted. Those are the first screenshots of DD's 2nd world yet. Best desert graphics I've seen in awhile. MM: That hack keeps looking even better every time I hear about it. Omniverse: The use of the red background in that last pic makes more an awesome look of the crystal at the end. It looks more like something from SMB2 or 3 as a whole. I need to go ahead and download it. I'd comment on more, but I can't really think of anything right off. |

Here's couple of screenshots from upcoming GoldMap 1.6, map editor for Pokemon Gold and Silver: It reads all graphics, area names, map and event addresses straight from rom without requiring messy ini files or tileset dumps. Now that I finished my first hack after my long hiatus, I've started another hack. I'm hacking SMB1 again, but there's a unique spin on this hack. It's entirely underwater! You'll still be able to jump on enemies and hit ? blocks, and you can actually swim faster if you start from a running start. I think it's gonna turn out to be a really fun hack. This was a doodle for the new Dreamer's Wing in Enhasa for Crimson Echoes. Temporal Flux is affording us the ability to decompress the world of Chrono Trigger, expanding it and making it more interactive. Work won't continue on this level by any means right now, though, because the demo is first priority (as well as preparing the rearranged soundtrack). |
