How do I figure out what mapper an NES Rom is? I'm trying to find a version of SMB2J with Mapper #40, but I cannot tell the difference between several of the versions I've found so far... Any help would be appreciated!

Easiest way, use FCEU's (or FCEUXD's) message log feature which is located under the help menu.

Originally posted by jmr I believe there is a mapper viewer that gives details on mappers. You can get it here: http://nesdev.parodius.com/mappers.zip Just open it up in the viewer. (Unfortunately, it has no information on Mapper #40. Sorry. ) (edited by beneficii on 07-06-05 09:23 PM) |

PocketNES doesn't support mapper 40 anyway. There are versions of SMB2j that run on PocketNES though. (I have it on my flashcart) Try the ROMs: SMB2J mpr4 (Hack) SMB2J+SMB1 Chars (Hack) I can't remember which I used, but it was one of those two. Edit - Oh wait, you said GBA MP. My bad.
