| OFF: After a lenghty intro, the actual fight begins! ____________________________________________________________________ As Ryan entered the room, everything was plunged in darkness... and then, the lights were slowly turned on. In front of Ryan, lying in a bed in a rather (or rather... blatently) suggestive position, was a female humanoid pichu wearing some kind of white cape. She had yellow, almost golden fur and her long, beautiful hair seemed to be made of pure light... it's color was a cross between gold and white. Her body seemed to have the perfect proportions... she was strong-looking without being too strong-looking... she was thin but not skeleton-like... and her sky-blue eyes were seemingly shining with kindness... Even to human standarts, she was unnaturally beautiful and sexy (altought Ryan wouldn't be quite affected by the second adjective since he's not an adult) even to human standarts... she almost looked like an angel and yet... you could feel a dark presence in the room... and strangely enough, the almost angelic woman covered with golden fur was apparently the same being than the dark figure... ???: "Welcome human. Welcome to the testing grounds... Aunt Firux already made the explanations so I won't annoy you anymore... I am Mother Ex, the strongest life form in the Universe... even mightier than the One who created everything for I wield the strenght of every single soul that has ever existed and will ever exist. Yes indeed... I know the secrets of the Dark Wind... and I have seen you, wanderer... I saw you, wandering trought the Streams of Time, bound to memories and experiences that aren't you, stuck in a state that is between Mortality and Immortality..." The Mother Ex stood up. Mother Ex: "You can call me Ex Lightheart. I have been chosen by the current Creator, the almighty Zerodius, to judge you. If you are worthy, your power shall live on forever as a part of the "Ex" bloodline... else, you shall resume your life and remember nothing of this... almost. Now, I bet you cannot wait for the endless dialogues to end, do you?" Mother Ex thrown her cape away, revealing her battle armor under. The armor was rather... weird... it was as if it was not really armor... as if Ex was in fact, half-machine or something and yet... you could still sense that she wasn't mechanical... well, not entirely. Mother Ex: "Go on, human. Give it your all. Impress me... if you can!" Mother Ex invited Ryan to attack. |

| (ooc: FINALLY! 21 posts into it and we finally battle! That's gotta be one of the longest intros in the history of sim battling) *Ryan concentrates for a short moment, causing the same haze to form around his arms as before, but it also forms on his legs. A strange thing to notice is that when he moves his arms or legs they leave a small streak of te haze in midair which lasts for about 2 seconds before disappearing. He then jumps up and towards Mother Ex and throws a quick punch and kick, followed by a PsyBlast* PsyBlast - A weak but fast attack that fires a beam of psychic energy at the opponent |

| OFF: Maybe... but I think it was a rather interesting intro and some interesting details about both opponents were revealed. By the way, as soon as Ryan will start using his stronger techs, Ex will lose her ability to block attacks as easily as in this post. All that Ryan needs to do is damage her once and her insane blocking ability will be disabled for the remainder of the battle. The block she pull off in this post is basically just to force Ryan to skip the "warming up" phase and start using hard-hitting techs right away... unless he has planned a special strategy. ____________________________________________________________________ Ex holds her hand in front of her and... BAAAASH! Ex block both attacks with her bare hand. There isn't even a scratch on her... and she didn't flinched either! Ex: "Is this a joke? I didn't felt anything! It didn't even tickle! I just looked at your soul for about a second... and I KNOW you can do MUCH better than this." Ex smiled. Ex: "Do not be afraid. Whatever you do, you will not kill me... so there's no use in holding back. Clear your mind, concentrate, and unleash your full power! Right now, you're wasting my time as well as your own. I won't attack until you have decided yourself to fight seriously." |

| (ooc: You try telling some people who fight unorthodox that... In vgchat.com I was told off because I didn't start the fight in the first post :\) *Ryan concentrates for a few seconds. During this time he has been forcing old energies through his mind. As they are old, dormant energies they have been powering up over his life (So this is the only time it will be used unless more are still there). The haze around him disappears but now his entire body, including clothing, has tinted a very dark purple. His body then splits into two, one is an illusion (But can still cause damage) and the other is the real Ryan. They both attack with much, much more powerful versions of his first attack. Both Ryan and the illusion do damage, but if the illusion or Ryan is attacked in any way, it instantly disappears. Ryan Mind Power - 92% Mental Life - 100% Illusion Mind Power - 94% Mental Life - 0% (If this happens to Ryan's life, he has a 'final decision' kind of move. It will go down to 0% and he will have 1 turn to try to defeat the enemy/correct the problem. If not he dies)* |

| OFF: So... you post your character's stats when you fight? Well... if you want. I'll do so too! About how I calculate HP... I calculate a bit like in the Metroid games. This means that the rightmost meter is Ex's current state. If the meter emptied, the number to the left of the meter decrease by one and the meter is refilled. Ex starts to take actual damage once the number to the left of the HP meter has reached "0". Her actual HP meter has 3 layers which means that... 10 X 9 + 10 = 100 3 X 10 = 30 100 + 30 = 130 Ex has about 130 HPs... and since the damage calculations are about the same as in a Paper Mario game (a common attack inflict 2 points of damage), this means that Ex has a MASSIVE amount of HPs. As for the Concentration and Limit meters... well, her Concentration meter is filled by 1 unit each turn... and if she charges up for an attack, she fills it by 5 units. Concentration is like Ex's mana; using techs require Concentration. This also means that Ex will never run out of materials to use attacks; she just has to charge long enough. As for the Limit meter... each time Ryan will inflict damage, the meter will fill a little... once it's full, Limit level 1 is activated and she may either use it or let Ryan damage her further, increasing the Limit meter further. The maximum number of time (and thus, maximum level) the Limit meter can be filled is 4... and believe me, you do NOT want Ryan to be hit with a level 4 Limit tech! Anyway, back to the battle! ____________________________________________________________________ Ex, this time, use both hands to block the incoming attack. Ex smiles. Ex: "Well well well... looks like you're finished with the tiny bitsy attacks, aren't you? Time to fight back..." Ex took out some kind of handgun... Ex: "This is the Blaster Handgun. It looks very small and weak, isn't it?... if you think so, then you WILL be surprised!" Ex aimed and then fired a salve of yellow spheres of neutral-elemental energy. Each sphere would inflict medium damage... and while Ryan can probably take a few of them, taking the entire salve would be quite painful. Fortunately, while the spheres fly at an high speed, they aren't homing and as such, Ryan can probably dodge them. Ex didn't intended to inflict really a lot of damage with this attack. | (ooc: Well it's only for this character so he has some form of telling when he will die, as he is almost impossible to hit with regular attacks AND cause him physical damage) *Ryan instantly brings up a small barrier. He then thrusts his palms foward causing the barrier to rapidly increase in size, and move forward, causing all the spheres to disintergrate. Ryan flinches slightly each time one of the spheres hits the barrier. The barrier then travels back to Ryan and disappears. The illusion disappears. Mind Power - 90% Mental Life - 96% Ryan forms a long strip of psychic energy which he grabs the center with both hands. The beam then slowly forms into a solid yet almost indestructible double ended sword. He jumps at Ex but swings it when he is about 5 feet away. A swipe of powerful sharp psychic energy comes from Ex's side and attempts to slash straight through her.* |

| Ryan's attack is successful. In fact, Ex doesn't even try to block or evade. She stand her ground and take the attack. Strangely enough, there is no wound visible on her... in fact, if one was to stop time, he would see that Ex is protected by a powerful shielding system. Until the shield has been broken, Ex cannot be damaged directly (altought Status Problems can still be used). Ex: "Well well well... looks like I understimated you... Well, now that I know that you aren't completely weak..." Ex jumped backward and landed a few meters farther from Ryan... then, she took her pendant and placed it on the ground and then... SLAM! The punched it trought the ground with all of her strenght! This caused an earthquake... but altought it would seriously shake Ryan, no actual damage would be dealt even if he's weak to such a tech. As Ex struck the ground, a GIGANTIC pillar made of flesh, bones, and souls all mixed up came out of the ground. A few thousands eyes appeared on the pillar as well as a large, deformed mouth filled with extremely long and sharp-looking teeth... Ex touched the pillar... and then, it glowed in an eerie light and... FLASH!! The pillar was gone... and Ex was now wielding a GIGANTIC sword. The hilt was in metal while the blade (which was as large as Ex's width and twice her height in lenght) was made of flesh. On the hilt, a blood-red eye... on the blade itself, half-a-dozen blood-red eyes all staring deep within Ryan's mind as well as a gigantic mouth filled with sharp teeth. Ex: "There isn't an use playing with you... This is a Dark Weapon, a weapon made of flesh... but this one is special. You see... this was the Dark Weapon I used during the Apocalypse war and as such, it contains the souls and powers of all the people, good or evil, ordinary or powerful, that died during the war... read: this is THE ultimate weapon. However... ultimate power comes at an ultimate price... but I'm not here to speak about that." Ex pointed Ryan with Dark Weapon. It was unsettling... the weapon was seemingly staring at him in the same exact way as it's wielder... and in this very moment, it wasn't very obvious who was the wielder and who was the weapon... Ex: "Ryan... do you know fear? If you never felt fear before... then believe me, you WILL be afraid... yes... you will..." Ex took a defensive stance and awaited for Ryan's next attack. =Ex= Life Force (9) (IIIIIIIIII) Concentration (0) (IIIIIIIIII) Limit (0) (IIIIIIIIII) |

| *Ryan hovers slightly over the earthquake. He doesn't have anything to say to Ex's remarks. He holds his sword up so the part he is holding is facing Ex. For a brief moment, he does nothing, but suddenly a beam of energy jumps from his chest (where his heart should be) to his sword, quadrupling it's attack power. He seems slightly weakened but definately still fully able to fight. He continues to hold the sword as before, but starts to spin it round wildly. When it's movement becomes too fast for any person to see it (unless they can slow down time of course) a huge blast of energy which he put into the sword before shoots out, directly at Ex's heart* Body Energy Transfer: Psychic energy flows around Ryan's entire body at all times. Some areas are a heck of a lot stronger than others which include vital organs like the heart or brain. Ryan can transfer this energy into any weapon he creates with his mind, then direct this energy to cause major damage to his opponent, in the same place he took the energy from. If by any chance the opponent doesn't have this body part (un-dead, protected very well in that specific area etc.) then it will cause medium physical damage to the outside of the target (like Ryan's normal psychic attacks). This uses 10% of Ryan's Mind Power If successful, but only 4% if it misses/affects the target in the second way. |

| A strange aura of purple flames surround Ex as she place Dark Weapon in front of her... BOOOOM!!! Ex was moving so fast that she was breaking the Barrier of Sound everytime she moved!... as such, Ryan should better get accustomed hearing sonic booms! Anyway... Ex places Dark Weapon's blade between herself and the incoming psychic blast and... CLAAAAANG!!! ...causing the psychic blast to strike Dark Weapon unstead of Ex! Since Dark Weapon is so ridiculously large, Ex is completely shielded from the attack and suffer no damage. As for Dark Weapon... for some reason, it wasn't even scratched. It's still in excellent shape. But even more weird than the fact that the weapon is still intact is how could a physical object like Dark Weapon block psychic energy? Psychic energy is supposed to ignore physical matter and strike the target directly... Ex: "Is that all? You aren't completely weak... but that's still very inferior to your potential. Allow me to raise the pressure a bit!" Ex closed her eyes and the dark flames around her burned more intensely... Dark Weapon was draining Ex of her toughts that weren't concerning the test in order for her to achieve a state of deep concentration (read: she's charging). =Ex= Life Force (9) (IIIIIIIIII) Concentration (0) (IIIIIIIIII) Limit (0) (IIIIIIIIII) |

| *Ryan jumps up, and casts an illusion. These are almost impossible to figure out from the real thing since it is one of Ryan's most practised moves. From inside him, 4 more Ryans appear and slide out. They are all shuffled so it isn't the one in the middle. Each of him run around so the circle around Ex, then the all jump up and attack with a powerful psychic blast (Of which only one is real). Mind Power - 85% Mental Life - 96% If one of the illusions are attacked, only that illusion dissapears. If the real Ryan is attacked, they all disappear* |

| OFF: Techs using Dark Weapon are ridiculously powerful and since time is stopped during these, chances of dodging the techs are slim. Still, to balance things out, Dark Weapon has a "cool down" phase after every time a Dark Weapon tech is used; Ex must wait several turns for Dark Weapon to recharge before unleashing another Dark Weapon tech. By the way... the true color of Ex's eyes is white; she is, in truth, blind... to the material plane, at least. Ex doesn't have those strange blue googles on top of her head (did I included this in her original description?) for nothing; she needs them to see physical objects. Since Ex doesn't see the material plane, she doesn't even see illusions to start with. To her, Ryan just did her regular attack. She never saw the illusions appear. This fact is both a blessing and a curse as yes, she is immune to illusions... but sometimes, illusions are important, as weird as it may seem! ____________________________________________________________________ Ex opened her eyes, dark flames flying out of her body. For a second, her eyes flashed white... or did it? Ex: "Freeze!" Suddenly, time stopped. Ryan and all of his illusions were frozen right in their track... Ex: "Can you take Paradox physics? I hope you can becease that just using your body to move around won't do against this attack!" Ex turned totally black for a second as she unleashed her Dark Overdrive. Ex dashed toward the real Ryan (Ex is immune to illusions.) and then, slashed him in an upward diagonal angle. Then, she chained up with a horizontal slash and a downward diagonal one. She continued the combo with a second horizontal one and another downward diagonal slash. Then, she slashed Ryan with an upward vertical slash... and as she slashed him like that, she jumped high above Ryan and froze in the air... Ex: "How do you like the power of the Dark Overdrive? This is Fury, the level Alpha Dark Overdrive using Dark Weapon! I hope you liked it! Now... time to unfreeze time and let the slashes actually connect in the physical plane!" Ex unfroze and came down, slashing Ryan with a lot of strenght on the way down. This last slash was twice the strenght of the other slashes (which were about the strenght of a regular attack). Ex jumped away from Ryan and time unfroze, causing her combo to take effect... well... it would unless Ryan is immune to Time-based techs. | (ooc: Well dodging them are slim, but it's lucky I gave Ryan the ability to foresee the future slightly. Also, Ryan's illusions actually give off life signs and such. They are considered as a summon, although unless it's a hard illusion, they cannot actually touch anything, and they die if they are attacked) *As soon as time unfroze (Which he somewhat felt) Ryan unleshes a small barrier around his body in a perfect fit for him. His mind is damaged but much less than if he just left it to his haze.* "I felt time stop for me just then... It wasn't a nice feeling" *Ryan jumps up and causes the beam in his hands to turn into a large axe like object. The edge then forms into an infinitily thin blade. It is now sharp enough to cut through practically anything made of matter. He jumps up and takes 6 chops at Ex's head and torso* |

| OFF: This post could cause problems if the axe Ryan used has a soul. If it got a soul, then this post needs editing... else, indeed. the axe shattered upon making contact with Dark Weapon. Dark Weapon cannot be enhanced using any magic and as such, can never shoot anything by itself which means that Ex is forced to get in close to use it. However, Dark Weapon is THE ultimate melee weapon... which means that it shatter everything upon impact, whatever it may be. It even pass trought Xeno Alloy as if it was air... The ONLY thing that Dark Weapon doesn't instantly cleave in two are souls... which is why being struck by Dark Weapon isn't instant death (altought Dark Weapon do instantly cleave souless targets). ____________________________________________________________________ Ex: "Bad idea!" Ex swings Dark Weapon above her head to counter the axe. CLANG! Soon enough, Ryan found himself swinging half-an axe at Ex. The other half was a bit behind Ex. Looks like the axe instantly broke upon contact with Dark Weapon! Ex: "Dark Weapon is more than it happens to be... but this is actually beginning to be interesting. | OFF: Actuallt, the fact that he created the weapons using his psychic powers is not enough. If the weapons doesn't have a mind of their own, they get cut into pieces, it's as simple as that. Basically, Dark Weapon cut down instantly everything exept things that can feel and react when Dark Weapon try to pass trought them. It doesn't matter if the being is biological, mechanical, or anything and if it can or can't have feelings. What matters is if it can think. If it can think, Dark Weapon cannot destroy it (well, not instantly anyway). |

| Ex: "So you finally understand that melee combat is not the best idea? Well... so be it! Let's see if you fare better against my Blaster Handgun!" Ex took out some kind of high-tech pistol... SWIIIZ! CLANK! The pistol somehow merged with her hand and soon enough, the pistol was gone... but Ex's right was now a massive Arm Blaster! Ex: "Of course, I customised it a "little"." The Arm Blaster's barrel opened itself and then, Ex took out some kind of metal claw... Ex: "Pratice is over! This test is about pushing you to the limit... and so I shall do!" Ex placed the claw into her Arm Blaster's barrel and suddenly, the Arm Blaster grew longer and turned red! Ex: "First... before attacking... I must get rid of those colors! So many colors... they are taking away my concentration!" Ex's eyes lost all color and turned white as she deactivated her vision. But as her vision faded, her sixth, hidden sense awakened... Ex: "Those who grow too dependant on their eyes are lost! Now... feel the heat!" Ex pointed her Arm Blaster at the ceiling and shooted continued plasma bolts at the ceiling! Soon enough, the room catched on fire and began to feel with smoke! Ex: "I hope that you can breathe in toxic smoke! Hehehe!" If Ryan didn't do anything, it would become impossible to see anything becease of the smoke. | *It was lucky Ryan had been charging his Hard Illusion ability, although his first move will have to wait. He activates the Hard Illusion causing a bubble of air to form around himself. This would follow Ryan wherever he went, and the air inside would never run out. To clear the smoke he uses Mind Over Matter to cause any surrounding air to blow the smoke outwards, causing a path towards Ex to form. He charges a small but powerful and dense ball of matter, which he finds difficult to hold. The ball is half made out of psychic energy which allows Ryan to change it at his will. He throws the ball with Mind Over Matter at Ex at amazingly fast speeds* |

Dark Weapon is ready to allow Ex to unleash yet another ultra-powerful attack... Ex: "Hehehe! Let's see how you do against ancient magic and advanced technology mixed together!" The barrel of Ex's Arm Blaster opened and she took out the claw. The Arm Blaster returned to neutral form. Then, Dark Weapon turned into the form of a claw! Ex inserted Dark Weapon in the claw... The Arm Blaster grew longer and was surrounded with a strange blue aura... As Ex pointed her weapon at Ryan, time stopped... PHASE MANA DISRUPTOR!!! Ex fired a blue thunderbolt from the Arm Blaster! The thunderbolt shocked Ryan for almost 5 full minutes! The thunderbolt wasn't made of mere electricity... it was made of Phase Mana, the most toxic substance in existance. For the purpose of this fight, the substance used was "depleted" and as such, wasn't as deadly... but still, each second of exposure would drain ENORMOUS amounts of HP off Ryan! Worse, the thunderbolt would poison Ryan severely, causing him not only to lose HP... but also to make him weaker as time progressed! Indeed, he would progressevely get slower, his attacks would get weaker, his defense would decrease, the required charge time for attacks would increase... in short, this attack would cause him to weaken dramatically if he is poisonned by it. Of course, if Ryan is immune to time-based techs, then he may move around freely and attempt a dodge. However, since Ex has outstanding aim and can adjust the trajectory of the thunderbolt while firing, his chances of a successful dodge are not that high... but not non-existant too. A little note... Ex cannot stop firing once she begins to fire. If she misses him, she cannot interrupt to adjust the aim. She must adjust the aim while continuing to fire! As such, if Ryan use this to his advantage, he can pull off a successful dodge. Also, if he cannot avoid it completely, Ryan will find out that while the attack fully hitting inflict MASSIVE damage, the damage is, in fact, obtained from the exposure to the substance making up the thunderbolt. The longer he stays out of the thunderbolt, the less damage he will receive. Damage range from 5 HPs (one second) to 750 HPs (5 full minutes).
