| I just wanna see if my new character is any good or not. Anyone can challenge me except for Vulkar or Dark Vader. ARENA: An alleyway in the year 2005, the middle of the day. There are large metal bins and sharp pieces of metal that can be used as weapons. People do come down this street randomly. *The 12 year old Ryan sits on the floor, leaning against the wall of a shop. He had cleared away a small patch of rubbish people had left there. He suddenly detects the presence of someone he can challenge. Ryan slowly stands, trying to detect where the presence is coming from, and who it is. He powers his arms up causing them to be covered in a purple haze, ready for anything that could happen* |

| ???: "Aren't you a bit young for fighting in random battles?" Then, the unknow person enters the shop. ???: "You're just a kid after all..." The figure revealed itself to be a green 24-years humanoid female dragon... but it was not any humanoid dragon! She was absolutely gorgereous even according to human standarts! She was wearing just normal clothes altought one could suspect that she wearing something more fit for battle under these... Her blue eyes were filled with kindness and when looking into them, you could feel your fear disappearing. ???: "My name is Firux and I've been sent here on the behalf of the Hunters. We have heard of a child with some extraordinary potential... and I'm here to confirm the rumors... and my research led me here... and seeing from the energy flowing on your arms, it seems that you're the one." Firux smiled. Firux: "Now... come with me. The tests will only last a few minutes, you'll see." |

| Firux smiled. Firux: "I have a cloaking field... a very poweful one..." Firux approached Ryan. Firux: "Did you ever wondered if there was something beyond the stars? Well... we happen to exist way beyond the stars, beyond the void, beyond your imagination. What you currently see is nothing more than a shell, an Avatar... the eyes of mortals cannot grasp our true form. As for our destination..." Firux pointed toward the sky. Firux: "We're going to the Lancer, the place from which our leader controls the entire Universe, making sure everything goes smoothly. You see... our leader has sent various agents to gather DNA and Soul data for Project "Ex"... and we had heard that the mortals held you in high esteem. So... we shall test you to see if you are worthy of taking part in Project "Ex"." Firux's smile widened. Firux: "Also... altought you can say no, I strongly suggest you come with us. It is in your interest... you will not regret it, believe me." |

| Firux: "Fine... let us do this then..." Firux closed her eyes and for a second, it seemed as if an entity made of pure light had came out of her... a being that was limitless in it's size and power and yet, limited at the same time... a being that could not be described with words. Then, time was frozen for everyone exept Firux and Ryan. Firux: "Let us go." There was a flash of light and then... the two were on the deck of a spaceship in space and judging from the stars that could be seen trought the windows, they were no longer in the solar system! In fact, they were not even close to Ryan's galaxy. They were far... farther than his mind would probably be able to grasp. Beings of various species, many Ryan had never imagined in his whole life, were busy maintening the ship's systems. Firux: "Welcome to our mothership, the Lancer! Officially, our headquarters is the fortress of Heaven within the Prison Dimension... but it is a decoy. Our REAL headquarters is this very spaceship!... and this means that..." A humanoid figure wearing a black armor that was a mix between Master Chief's and Samus's approached the two. ???: "Oh! There you are!" Firux jumped on the figure and started to hug it while kissing it! The figure began to panic, trying to get the female dragon in heat off him. ???: "HMPH! HMPH!" Then, after a few more kisses (and many attempts of the figure to repel Firux), she stood back, blushing. Firux: "Oops... sorry Admiral... it's just that... well... I..." ???: "You know it can't work. As the Admiral of the Hunters, all creatures of the Universe can be considered my creations, my children... and well, dating and mating with a creation or a child is well... just plain wrong. As such, I shall repeat it for 4101315403430203th time... our relationship shall remain purely professionnal... and anyway, I did give you a mission, did I?" Firux: "Oh, sorry. I brought the mortal here, as ordered. His name is Ryan!" ???: "I know that. He's also supposed to be able to reincarnate, isn't it? An unique ability... but very dangerous. Still, he may have abilities that will be vital to Project "Ex"... and I just realised I didn't presented myself properly." The figure made a step backward and took on a triumphant pose. ???: "I am Zerodius, the current Admiral of the Hunters and the being who has been chosen to rule over all souls in and out of the Universe. Ever since the Creation, we, Hunters, have done our best to make sure that our creations would have happy, peaceful, and productive lives and I, as the Admiral, is proud to say that I believe that we're doing a more or less nice job." Firux: "MORE OR LESS?!? You are great, marvelous, extraordinary! You're the one that made up Project "Ex" and man-made the Mother Ex! You have led the Alliance during the Apocalypse War and destroyed Evil once and for all!... and now! You're so marvelous, so extraordinary, so great that you just can't keep your greatness to this Possibility alone, sending "Ex" beings in other worlds so they may experience, just like our people, what a world without Evil may be!" Zerodius: "A Hunter's job is never done, Firux... well, it's false. Our job is already done... but altought the mortals of our own Possibility no longer need us, many Possibilities need our help! We must not sit down and boast about our past success! We must look toward the future and continue to fight for a better future!" Firux turned to Ryan. Firux: "He IS a great person, isn't he?" Zerodius: "Bah! I bet that I must have looked like a clown now..." Firux: "HA! Nonsense!" Zerodius: "Come on! Do I look so great? I look like a common guy in a common high-tech armor... and this "Ryan" guy didn't seen neither my actions themselves, neither their effects. The only thing I think you succeeded into doing was showing Ryan just how much arrogant and blind we can get." Firux: "He is so humble..." Zerodius: "Enough! Cheap flattery won't get you a date, you know! Use your energy on something productive, unstead, like showing this mortal our ship and anwsering his questions. Now... MOVE OUT!" Firux: "Sure, sir!" As Firux led Ryan out of the room, she whispered to him... Firux *whispering*: "I know that he's denying it... but I know he's totally nuts about me... but you're too young to understand those things, aren't you?" |

| Firux stared at Ryan in disgust... Firux: "Man! Why do EVERY single non-Hunter Immortal has to sound like a moronic 80-years old senile male human?!? Don't you have any curiosity? Any dreams? ANYTHING that makes your existance something else than a waste of time and thus, gives me a good reason NOT to pound you into the ground for the horrible stuff you just said?" It was obviously that Firux did NOT liked Ryan at all. In fact, she was deeply upset that he had great powers for, else, she wouldn't have hesitated to erase him from the Timeline! Firux believed that Evil was born becease of beings just like Ryan whose dreams had shattered, who feelings had been suppressed, and acted all arrogant around people who believed in their dreams and feelings. |

I'm supposed to show you the ship around... and if you were just four tiny years older, I would have shown you my bedroom first... but I guess I'll have to begin with the main deck, do I?" Firux invited Ryan to follow her into the main deck. From there, she would tell Ryan how to access the various decks and rooms of the ship and what function each deck and room served. |

| After crossing the main door, the two made it to the main deck... Firux: "Welcome to the hub for all of the decks on this ship!" It's then that it became obvious just how gigantic the Lancer truly was. The deck was expending way beyond Ryan's line of sight... it wouldn't be surprsing if the ship was bigger than a planet! The deck was, in truth, a gigantic 3d maze made of thousands of tubes. Within the maze were billions of agents of all species and all jobs, travelling toward their next destinations at speeds way beyond the speed of sound. The sight of all those forms of life, both mechanical and biological, travelling at such high speeds and in an seemingly complete disorder, was enough to make one realise how small he was... and yet, there was an obvious and yet hidden order to the chaos. Each creature was moving for a purpose, was going toward a set goal... Some were going to the hangar, others were repairing the maze, others were carrying materials or machines to other decks, others cleaned the maze... the maze truly looked like a civilization of it's own. On the edges of the maze, thousands of elevators of all sizes and shapes... Firux: "Do you like speed?... becease we'll have to use the Speed Tubes to reach the hidden elevator in sector 13, Quadrant IV, angle 267." |

| OFF: First version of a LONG post. May contain various mistakes. ____________________________________________________________________ Ryan steps on the platform and... CLACK! The platform transform into a cube, trapping him and Firux!... and then... In a flash of light, the cube moves trought the maze! Everything seemingly explodes into thousands of particles of light as they pierce trought the Wall of Light, moving trought Time and Space... ...and then, the cube stops and rebecome a platform. They are no longer on the main deck... they are now into the core of the Lancer, inside of the Deck 00. Deck 00 was very different from the Main Deck to say the least. While the Main Deck was worthy of a dream... Deck 00 was actually quite nightmarish. There was no source of light and as such, no way to tell the walls from the ceiling, the floor from the wall... there was only complete darkness... Firux: "Welcome to Deck 00... or as they call it, the Soul Conservatory. The souls of mortals and immortals alike who died or sacrificed themselves for the sake of protecting the world from Evil are kept here... for you see, the "Ex" beings use a forbidden process in order to fight Evil." Then, light entered the Deck and the hall in which they were became visible. It was some kind of tunnel. The walls, the floor, everything was made up of black faces with different expressions... and those faces were moving! Deck 00 was actually made of souls! It was alive!... well, kind of. Firux: "Welcome to the dark, hidden side of the Hunters, Ryan. When Light forsake Good to join Evil and that the Universe fell into eternal Darkness, a new power rose from the forgotten depths of the Abyss... and just as Evil evolved, so did Good. The strongest agents of the Hunters no longer draw their powers from the Holy Light... but from the Darkness within their hearts. By manipulating the desire for Destruction within every being and by controlling the forbidden powers, we were able to create a new form of life... a form of life made of pure, raw Darkness... a Darkness rid of it's Evil and Chaotic properties. We called those forms of life: "Ex". To mix positive and negative feelings, creating a power far beyond anything and wielded by creatures of pure Destruction and yet, free of Evil... such was the goal of Project "Ex". You are about to witness something no mortal before you could ever see with their own two eyes." The souls moved aside, revealing a doorway. Firux: "Mother Ex is waiting. She will be the one that will test you. She will analyse you, locate your powers and where they come from as well as how you got them... she will learn your motives... your dreams and desires will be an open book to her... and when your soul will become crystal-clear to her, she will push you to the limit, she will test almost to the point of breaking you... and then, your true power will surface and shall be isolated from your experiences. Then, this power will become hers and a new generation of "Ex" beings will be born. In a nutshell, this is the program. Remember that whatever happens in this chamber... you will not die... unless you willingly decide to do so. Empty your mind of your worries and be yourself. You are about to enter the depths of the purest Darkness... a Darkness which cannot be pierced by the Holy Light. In order for this test to be successful, you will have to use the Light within your own heart... and even call upon the aid of your own Dark Side as well. Do not rely on external sources of power, use your own power..." Firux smiled. She seemed... excited? Firux: "This is such a honor... normally, it is the Admiral that test people... and now, Mother Ex shall do it herself and I have been selected to make sure everything goes well! You probably don't realise how much of a honor it is for me... Mother Ex... is even mightier than the Admiral. She was the one that wielded everyone's Hopes during the climax of the Apocalypse and destroyed the Chaos Essence, the source of all Evils. Mother Ex is a legend, among all creatures. Some of them even refer to her as the Successor or as the Absolute Good. However... no matter how powerful or extraordinary she is... we are constantly reminded that behind the powers, within the body, beyond the experiences... Mother Ex is, firstly and mostly, a mortal... a mortal called Ex Lightheart who love, hate, fear, trust... a mortal who can feel happiness, sadness, excitment... and a mortal that, just like everyone else, makes mistakes." Firux suddenly realised something... Firux: "Oops! Sorry to bother you..." (one the souls in the walls): "Hey! Are you going to stand there all day? Making up a doorway require energy, you know! It's tiring to remain there, unnattached to the wall!" (another soul): "What's the big deal about Mother Ex, anyway? She said it herself! She did what anyone would have made in her place so cut it out with the stupid praise!" (yet another soul): "Just don't keep the Admiral waiting, isn't it?... and anyway, do you intend to remain there forever or something? You should complete this test at once and return to see the Admiral! This place is way too gloomy for two nice, healthy persons like you!" Firux: "Gloomy? Actually, I see this place as a masterpiece... so many memories... so many proofs of bravery... this is a monument to all those who were ready to throw their lives away for the sake of a better world... a monument to show that there are causes that are worthy dying for!" (another soul): "Just carry on with the test, OK? We'll take care of the rest." (yet another soul): "About... tell this mister that the reason this place is so dark and everything is that the lighting systems got busted yesterday. Normally, the Soul Conservatory is lighted by beautiful golden spheres of light!" (another soul, again!): "Furthermore, we're making up the floor becease that the crystal floor was sent to the Repair Bay for reparation. Sorry if this gives Deck 00 an eerie feel or something... But well, anyway. It's really too bad the test is taking place today. Deck 00 is so beautiful normally..." (one more soul): "By the way... don't worry about stepping on us! We don't mind, really, we don't. As we no longer have bodies, we no longer fear physical harm as well. The room where Mother Ex is was fixed recently, however, so you won't have to worry about souls covering the room. Anyway... just go on, OK?" The souls gathered and then made a large computer come out of the ground! Shortly after, a chair adapted for Firux came out as well. (a random soul): "We're set, Lieutenant Firux! Install yourself confortably and let this test begin, at once!" Firux sat down on the chair, activated the computer, and waited for Ryan to enter the room... Firux: "OK... now, enter the room! Let the test begin!" |
