I've only heard ONE 50 Cent song in my life.

Therefore he's a one-hit wonder in my eyes.

(That's a good way of dodging that.)

But seriously, rap at a rock concert = no go. What were the organizers on when they thought that up? Have him play at Reading's footy field or something.

Ouch, other than the Darkness, that festival is more than a touch of mediocrity.

I'm sorry, that statement is ten years too old.

Yeah, and the sad thing is that I had Legos when I was 4 years old... Besides, you need to be really creative with Canada-bashing.

"We threw bottles at Raging Speedhorn last time..."

Why must you U.K.ers be so violent!

Oh, and I wouldn't throw shit at 50.

Know what I mean?

I'm going to put $5 on the crowd just because I know others are going to go with 50.

Then again, you're going to ENJOY yourselves - if an act's bad, you boo them. You don't start trying to recreate Woodstock '99.

Raging Speedhorn are one of those 'shouty' bands where every song sounds exactly the same and you can't make out the 'lyrics' I saw them when they supported Rammstein, man we shouted some good abuse at them.

Like I said, the only problem with 50 coming is the safety issue. In 2002, where the Prodigy followed the Offspring, we had a mass exodus of rockers who didn't want to see them and a mass crowd of ravers coming towards us who did. If 50 is on near the top, this could be really dangerous. Its overcrowed as it is without us moving everywhere. But I might take something interesting to throw anyway

Ahh.. 50 cent at Reading.. that would be a disaster. That would be like Britney Spears performing at Woodstock. Well.. it's not like woodstock would ever occur again.. but hey.. needed an analogy.

I live in the US.. but I've always wanted to go to Reading. this summer I'm going to the Warped Tour.. ohh :]~.. like 30 bucks to see over 50 bands. ::jumps for joy::

Don't worry guys, it's all part of the festival experience. Bands are well used to getting pelted with all sorts of things Besides, if they get pissed off, they hurl things back
It's not like I throw things myself, I'm just trying to point out that 50 Cent might not be welcomed at Reading at all

Raging Speedhorn are a collection of roughnecks who like to scream and shout. I'm still not sure why I'm defending them because they're crap. But they still scare me more than 50 Cent will ever do
Unless he "rides" with a couple of hundred people, he'll be pulled off in no time if the mosh pit doesn't like him

<sarchasm>Oh, and Woodstock 99? That was, just, *so* Limp Bizkit's fault, heh heh </sarchasm>

Kasumi - Hehehe.

If he's not then he learns a valuable lesson - go to festivals where your kind (read: rappers) are accepted.

Then again, the organizers might be looking to cash in from almost every demographic imaginable this year.

You guys should go to the Local Noize Makers Fests in Oshawa, Ontario...

It is one of the few gigs that my band ever plays.

About 10 bands for 5 bucks...Come on The biggest band we've ever had was Cryptopsy...We're going to get Dayglo Abortions.
