| Well, I think I have my mind set, But I would like some other oppinions. I am getting a new video card since right now I have an Intel(R) 83845G or somthing like that. Just wondering if anyone has any good suggestions for good video cards at a reasonable price. |

| Intel 845G is onboard video. Extremely shitty. Unfortunatley for you, AGP slots on Intel motherboards with onboard video aren't common, you MAY be restricted to a PCI card. What do you have in mind, and what do you want to play? If you want to play any new(er) game like HalfLife2, or Doom 3, or Battlefield 2, you'll need a card that is $150 or higher in price to do it decently, and $200+ do it well. |

| A Radeon 9200 won't play newer games, I can assure you that. A 9800 might, but not the lowest-end versions. A 9800 Pro or XT would do well. I don't know if they make PCI versions of these cards. A 9200 possibly, a 9800 I doubt. Check and see if your motherboard HAS an AGP slot. Your owner's manual should tell you, or open your case. You'll be able to tell, an AGP slot is brown and PCIs are white by default, and the AGP is set back further, and is ALWAYS the first slot. |

| I opened the DirectX Diagnostic tool, Found out that the AGP texture acceleration is not avalible. Perhaps that what you ment? As for the PCI I have no Idea, I would have to ask my brother about that. I am interested in getting Guild Wars. Unfortunatly your making it sound like thats it immpossible =( | |||

| GW would probably run with a PCI graphics card. I'm talking about physical slots on your motherboard. The only way to find out, if you don't have a card installed in the AGP slot (and you don't), is to check your manual or to open the case and look inside. |

| I know what you mean Yiffy Kitten, but sometimes (or maybe most times) money is a much greater deciding factor than framerate. If you have the money, get a really good card, but if you don't and you're not used to playing games at anywhere near 60fps then you'll be fine with a lower card. But if you can wait a bit, I'd say save up and get a card for 200 or so and have a really good time with games that play really well. | |||

| If you decide on getting a radeon card (And I suggest getting the 9800) do NOT get the SE version, despite it being cheaper. I made that mistake, and my 9600 SE is worse than a 9200. :/ |
