Maybe he's blind in one eye but it's probably not due to the shirt.

And how does he know it's cursed? He probably plays Nethack 8 hours a day so he just dropped it onto an altar to identify it. It could be a blessed t-shirt of... um... partial blindness.

Another time I saw an auction by some guy who was selling a baseball bat, and told a long story of the great battle the bat went through. It got a lot of money.
