I'm still using Winamp instead of iTunes, whatever he says.

I heard about the vulnerability a couple of days ago, but I really don't mind. My computer isn't connected to the internet for starters

Eh, and they released a patch quickly, so that's good

I'm not too surprised about this. It was just a matter of time before a whole was found.

*turns on winamp*

And I'd be worried... if I used 5.02. I still use 2.91 =P

Sounds partially like another IE hole. Only IE, with its ActiveX, allows software/files to be copied/removed/modified in any directory. All other browsers would ignore ActiveX.

*FreeDOS still uses (and recommends) Winamp.

The flaw affects all WinAmps and so the only advice is to upgrade as soon as possible to the new patched version (5.03)

Hmm... *feels lucky that he uses Mozilla Firefox *

But I should upgrade anyway, I just wonder... is there anything bad in version 5.03?

I've always used Winamp 2.91. Winamp 5 is too slow on my computer and it will hang my PC, which hates Winamp 5. Modplug is better for modules like .xm, .it, .mod, and .s3m anyways. They sound like they really should and sound better on it than Winamp.

BTW, I like your new pl Toxic.
