*checks post count* This post is so leet.

Anyway...I recently changed my board password, and I thought of something. A lot of boards have you confirm the password you enter, by typing it in twice. This helps guard against accidental misspellings you may make while entering your password, especially considering that you can't see the characters of the password as you enter it. I think it would be a good idea to have that on Acmlmboard. (Plus, it would mean less people pestering the admins when they type their password wrong.)

Indeed. I've always wondered why this board doesn't have that, in the first place.

I don't think this is really debatable, I think it should seriously be inputted.

I mean, what if my password is "burgers" and I accidently type in "burgrse" and well, since they're starred out it's not like you can tell if you had a typing error.

So, you're screwed.

It should be updated to be like this.

I uh, fifth that. I had huge problems when I was trying to register because I had spelt my password wrong, and it took me many tries to get it to work, and logging in consisted of opening my email, clicking the link, and re-registering in a way to get in. luckily, I fixed it, but if that could be avoided in future...

Not only that, but why doesn't it tell you specifically what's wrong when you use the wrong name or password? I remember the first time I joined the board, it went down for quite a while, then I came back and tried to log in, but it kept saying "Invalid name or password" so I ended up having to re-register, not knowing the accounts had all been deleted during the downtime.
