Well... I got my new fun toy today... ePSXe, a fun Playstation emulator, which lets you boot disks you currently have... No more arguing with my sister about Playstation ownage ...

Most games play fine... But when I put in Final fantasy 7, it was a little screwed up...

1) Rather than borders around the speech boxes... it was just text, such as "Max MP, Exp, Limit, etc"

2) The whole in-battle interface was screwed up, so I didn't know what I was selecting...

Does anybody know how to solve these problems?

If you have Pete's OpenGL or DirectX GPU then there is an option in the 'special game fixes' that fixes that.

Don't have a clue of what you mean by that ... The readme file says that too, but I don't understand it very well ...

Would you be able to post a step-by-step of finding out if I use them and if so, how to combat it please?

Just configure your GFX plug-in, in the config window there should be a game fix button or something, click that and you can select some fixes, it should tell you wich ones you need for FF7.
