Ooh! That reminds me of a few others...

Tetris - because you haven't lived until you play the original Atari version.

Any of the Vs. Nintendo games - because some of them are different from their NES counterparts and it's fun to figure out how.

Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo - because it's one of those puzzle games that's easy to learn and tough to master. And it's chaotic.

Here are some games I play that you might like:

Aero Fighters (series)
Area 51
Killer Instinct
Maximum Force
Metal Slug (series)
Simpsons Bowling
Marvel Vs Capcom
The Simpsons (try the Japanese versions, its better)
TMNT
Galaga
Bubble Bobble

That's about it. Don't forget that some ROMs need bios inorder for them to work like the Neo Geo, Megaplay, ST-V, etc...if you need some bios I can help you out.

Would someone be interested in a PHP script that downloads all files listed in a given file? For mass downloading ROMs for example?

I doubt that'd work for R*mn*t**n, seeing how they have visual checks (copy a bitmap's contents). Too bad, it's my favorite MAME source.

...Ommagawd, I disemvoweled a site name

You know... you guys don't have to censor out the names of sites. It's giving the actual site LINK that's a problem. The name isn't a big deal because if anyone wanted to go there, they'd just Google it.

Google is your MASTER.

Also, the Metal Slug series rocks, you should try to get that.

Edit: ZKJZDKGZcvzcxhlzkxhdlqanerfaqwejo@!@#$@$, someone already said Metal Slug. I need to read posts more. XDDD

If you're into shmups, go check out the 1940-line of games. 1941: Counter Attack, 19XX: The War Against Destiny, and 1944: The Loop Master are all great places to start.

YES. I wasted a lot of quarters on Robot Monsters back in the day. The graphics were just so unique for its time considering I didn't know much better back then.

Oh... and the D&D games by Capcom. Again, very good quarter wasters. (And yes, I was the Cleric even back then... )
