| Hrm, it's the 16th of June, one year since I registered here. I'm now a fullmod and an active roleplayer. Throughout the last year I've been a senior in high school, gained (and very recetnly broke up with) a girlfriend, destroyed my social life, lost my internet, and learned how to write. Everything is rebuilding as I write this, and I'm hoping the next year is a pretty good one, now that all of my troubles are more or less gone. What did a year here do for you? And if you haven't been here for a year, then what do you expect to be doing when a year comes? |

| A year here helped me with writing... ...and being an efficient typer... Well, I joined December of 2003 and since then I have been here... kind of active at times, and kind of... well, gone for a little while. During my first year here, I was able to understand how to make ExGFX for SMW and what rom hacking really was. ...and my life... well, still remained the same. Playing video games and such. Only difference was I was editing old classics... |

| I've been here 9+ months, and I've really enjoyed myself. Since then, things have become incredibly better for me. -Found the girl of my dreams. -Turned 16. How can that not be good? -Got my license and a car. That does not have poop on it, ahem leg. -Finished up sophomore year, making me an upperclassman. That's right. -My dad moved away for a few glorious months, it was awesome to not have his bitchy attitude around all the time. But he recently moved back, so that's sort of the downer. -Figured out who my real friends were. -Got the best newb gold in January, maybe if I get some stuff this summer I can say people know who I am now. -You could also say my vocabulary has grown. I now know words like loli, 1337, ect. ^__^ -And I've overall been happy. Happy is good. |

I also, and this is probably the greatest thing ever, now know the difference between "your" and "you're". I can also spell a lot of words properly that I never did before. Also, I've learned a shitload about world culture. Emphasis on the "shitload". I believe that over 90% of everything I know about other countries and their lifestyles is because of this board. I love being able to have a conversation with real life people and be able to point out and correct their misconceptions and what have you. I'm also a lot more tolerant in my every day life because of this board. I think most people are over the internet anyway. It's a good way for people to actually get to know a person without any irrelevant details such as race, religion, creed, sexual preferences, etc getting in the way to divert certain people from getting to know them in the first place. So yeah, my experience with this board has been pretty good overall. |

| I've only been (registered) here for nine months, and although I'll always be the same person as I've always been, I've learned much. + My written English has improved a lot. Being an honest, I think it's good to be a second language. + I've learned HTML in no time. Since almost everyone at the board knew HTML, I decided to learn it myself. I learn stuff pretty fast. + I've got more common sense when writing at places like this. Just compare my first posts with my last ones. + I've found many ROM hacks, and also gained much help from the ROM hacking forum. ROM hacking is the reason why I came, after all. The only problem I've got after joining is that I sometimes tend to use much time here. Then again, it's not exactly a problem as long as I like it here. |

| I've been here for over three years (registered March 5, 2002). In that time, I have learned a LOT about the Internet...when I first registered, I hadn't been posting at boards for very long at all, and was completely unfamiliar with IM or chat systems. I've also learned that commas and periods go inside quotation marks, not outside. And the correct spelling of "separate." Acmlm's taught me a lot about message boards...like what not to post. Look at any of my first 250 posts or so on the archive, and you will see how much of a n00b I was. I would say stuff like "When will Acmlm update the site?" and "What's a ______?" (fill in blank with just about anything) and "How did people get so many posts?" |

| I've been here, between this and the old board, for about... I joined in February 03. left in February 04, returned in July 04... so, almost two years, I'm estimating. I've been banned, I've been a somewhat normal user, I've been a local mod for a day, and a full mod now. I got Bronze for Best Newbie in the first Mosts that I was here for, and I believe I got Bronze for Best RPer in the last Mosts. I've finished High School, and thus far have been unsuccessful in my job search. And this has been one of my only available options for semi-intelligent debate - my mother having an 'I'm always wrong because I'm just a kid' attitude about me kills any chance of discussion with her, and my stepdad's not serious enough to carry on a debate. Whew, I think that's all. |

| I've been here...since yesterday In a year, I've gone through second year of college. I've gotten myself more involved with school activities. I've learned to think more critically of what people say (psychology..oh yea) I've learned that Organic Chemistry is Devil Class. I've had lots of fun with new friends I've been with my gf for about...um...3.75 years, and i'm happy. so alot. |
