| I'm still really kind of confused about what's going on. Really. What do you mean, TEK is under attack? Is it the random username colors? If that's it, then Black Lord did that for TEKs board. It's been around for nearly a year now (beleive me, that's something... we've been through a LOT of boards) *reads the thread more carefully* Clank? What the hell? He was in #acmlm not that long ago and didn't seem like too much of an idiot. Damn... I think I missed a lot. Real skillfull hacker, allright. We all know how much 'talent' it takes to register a million bullshit names a minute. |

Man, when I went there -- it showed 285 users online and 2,099 total users registered. A few seconds later, the number of users jumped to 2,150!!  Edit: Now the number of users has grown to 2,250!! (edited by VGFreak877 on 03-18-04 10:45 PM) |

| This thing is growing at an alarming rate -- there's now over 3,400 users in the database and over 450 users online. This needs to be stopped over there -- before the numbers of users gets close 10,000. But we need to be prepared just in case this person tries to come over to any of our boards. | well, it wastes bandwidth, which could cause financial troubles for the person renting the webspace... it also floods the database expanding it.. which uses up a lot of webspace which sucks unless you have unlimited webspace... so yeah, there's potential for real damage. edit: okay, I got a screen shot of 1051 registered users online... any board would love it if it had that many legitimate users online at once.. shame these are all spam accounts.
