| hey im new to these forums but ive been hacking pokemon for some time. all i wanna do is know A) how to add your own maps to R/S B) Can this be done with a hex editor! thanks in advance hoa |

| using a hex editor is the only way to add maps. as for adding them, iv got no idea, i only know how to add them in r/b/g/y. it proberly has a section indicating what bank the maps are in, and another section with the pointers to the maps in the banks they are in. so you just got to point a blank map to new map data, then change the bank indicator to where that new map is. Thats how it is in R/B/G/Y. |

That's basically right. Don't forget to build a valid map header, and do all a favor; document the process  |
