Yes Americans are scared. I could probably leave my car unlocked for my whole life and only have it stolen once and maybe broken into twice but because of the climate of fear I will always leave it locked. I will always lock my house out of fear and I will always suspect my fellow citizens of being deviant. Why are violent crimes so high here? Because of fear. At any rate; Nipples! Yeah! |

I read it as more of a misplaced priority thing. I mean, everyone got onto Janet Jackson for the erm, exposition, but no one seemed to say anything about Justin Timberlake ripping off her shirt or whatever in the first place. (So what's that mean, violence is more acceptable than nudity?) And only a few people talked about how god-awful the whole Super Bowl halftime show was, period. And to step back even further, it seems strange that Americans made a huge fuss over that instead of, say, stuff that actually matters in the whole grand scheme of things. I wouldn't say Americans are scared, although they may be. I would say that they're curiously prudish in some aspects and outright vulgar in others. |

Well, thats interesting. I guess she's right, and "standing" up for her beliefs, although moving might be extreme. |

Canada may not have a problem with nudity, but it doesn't change the fact that we are a restrained and conservative, yet liberal nation | |||
