Who else here has Digital Cable?

I have it, only mine came bundled in with NHL Center Ice (kickass deal ). The last movie I ordered on it was S.W.A.T., which was a pretty good movie. Ordered it last night and I can still watch it up until 10:19 PM EST (24 hour rental).

I had digital cable for a while, but then we realised that it was less expensive to just use the normal cable. Most of the channels we had we didn't watch, and we can live without the few that we actually did watch. Besides, most of the ones we watched we still get with normal cable.

We had a movie rental thing with it as well, but it's less expensive to go to GameZone, where new DVDs are only 2$.

Nope, just normal cable for me.

Which isn't as bad as it seems, after you've lived 13 years without cable.

I don't watch most of the channels that came with mine either. If not for Center Ice, there wouldn't be much use for mine other than I-Control movies, which you can pay $3.95 American for a 24 hour rental. Sure beats the $7.99+ price that you get for a 2-5 day rental at the nearest Blockbuster.

Why would you get digital cable when DirectTV has better deals, better quality, and is cheaper?

Hopefully, when I move into my new house, the only cable there will be for the internet

Yep...along with their net service. But I really don't watch it more, save for a few shows.

DirectTV better than Time Warner? You've GOT to be kidding me! Why pay $150/year for Center Ice and HBO (which already comes with regular cable might I add), racking up an additional $40/month, when you could get Center Ice from Time Warner for the same price and get Digital-Cable (including I-Control Movies, and up to 900 channels) coming in free with it? I went to go call DirectTV and the people there were bitches, not to mention their "service" was too busy, leaving me waiting on the phone longer, waiting to them to confirm my order. Time Warner is a nicer service and has better deals, so I decided to just order it from Time Warner instead.

Heh...TV...something I don't really have time for anymore. So...nope. Don't have it. Not like we could get it here in the dorms either.

All I really need is Cartoon Network and Comedy Central (and, on rare occasions, Nickelodeon and Disney), and my local channels. I'll stick with ordinary analog for now, thanks.

None. I have it, but I don't really use it. I still live under my dads roof and he is more or less the only one using it. I have my precious computer for my brain numbing fun.

Digital Aerial, Cable and Satilite is available in the UK, but we only have analogue cable for the TV. We also have a fast cable connection for the internet

Cable is generally better than ADSL in the UK... Similar speeds, but lower contension ratios

I don't have cable at all, but I do have digital TV through my antenna.

I'm not watching especially much TV nowdays, maybe an movie and a few simpson episodes.

Pay-per-view seems to be an very intresting system, unfortunatly that isn't possible on the digital TV I have.

Digital cable is annoying, when there's congestion the picture will block for a few moments, the picture will become all pixelish, there'll be visual artifacts from the compression... And also the price...

In France they had the BEST IDEA EVER WARNING SARCASM. The internet provider taking care of users was AOL (AOL Time warner -- you do the math ) -- It was quite possibly the worse cable service in the world.

Am I the only one here that does not have any kind of cable/satilite/digital TV? Where I live there is no cable service. Cable and satilite are not worth the price, and digital TV recivers are unaffordable.

At my old house you couldn't get cable TV. It wasn't until 97 that we able to even get a telephone.

But I have basic cable at my house now. Its meh. Waste of 40 bucks a month but whatever.
