| Well, alot of people do like these sites... It's alot better than kids looking up other sites on the internet. It promotes the net as a relatively safe place if parents use their PCs correctly and use child protection software. I don't see how Ain't It Cool didn't make it up there  |

| Seriously, none of thoose are annoying. Pop-up sites are the most annoying thing out there, but with Firefox I hadn't seen them...  But there is certain sites that you won't go on when someone else is watching.  |

| I have to agree with cpubasic on this one. More than 90% of the ROM sites out there are useless peices of junk. And, my reasons are the same as cpu's. There have only been about 4 good ROM sites for me. All the rest are nothing more than cheap advertising. | |||

| Prolly the only website I ever found truly annoying was one with a bunch of animated gifs, 20 or so odd .wav files and about the same number of MIDI files, and a buge background picture - all on the same page. This was years ago, back when I only had dial-up - instantly crashed my laptop. <.< But even if it had loaded properly, can you imagine all that crap going on at once? Anyway - I have seen a lot of poorly designed sites since then, but not really any more annoying sites. |

| Any site that uses security exploits to download spyware/adware/1-900 dialers (ugh...) And there are the ones with fullscreen (all window edges off screen) and soundmaking ads. Not to mention onexit popups. |

Banners are evil, that's the reason why I'm running the web content filter The Proxomitron since nearly two years now  Here's a screenshot plus it can remove many other stuff like flasgh etc. from webpages IN that screen an ad banner is replaced by that [ad] below, but the filter doesn't touch non-ad banners like this one in top of that or Acmlm's board. | This used to be popup sites, but since I got Mozilla that didn't bother me anymore. ROM sites piss me off though. Pretty much all of them got huge ROM lists (and funny enough, most of the time with the same listing numbers like they're found exactly on other sites). Then when you want to download a ROM, you'll be put through a shitload of 'vote to download the ROM' sequences. When you finally did and click the one button to download the ROM, you get a 404 page or a stupid 'ROM section currently down, please try later' message. |

| Meh, you guys just need better connections for roms But I'd have to say the worst thing is browsing the net and getting popups. I don't get them now becuas I use a browser called Avant. But It beeps when it blocks a pop-up, so I know when I get to an intensive site. Ads are blocked as well but they give no audible signal. Plus I can dynamically exclude or add new masks for popups/ads. |

| Yep, Pages with lot's of adds and popups ore trying to install something. And I found one good ROM-Page for many different systems (But not new), for GBA, I found another for the latest, really fast, and one with all, but slow. I still think, why these Popups? It disturbs every user I know. ToDo-List: Hunt down the inventor of Popups and give him a painfull, slow death. |
