Ever thought of having a direct link to the top thread of each forum, on the board index ?
Just like a couple of other boards...

All you have to do is click once on the forum name, then you can view all the threads! You're idea is unecessary.

I'd like to point out myself though... That it's a lot more efficient fr 56k users to get to a thread by clicking a last thread link than clicking twice... It would make loading times more efficient for them...

If you were to make a server to see whether active users here use 56k, or Broadband... The majority would probably say broadband...

I stoped posting a little bit back because of loading times, but am back up again now, due to my Broadband-ness ...

well glad to hear you are back with us Avardo.....

and yeah I can see how the extra page load might be somewhat annoying.....

but really... with the activity of this board

odds are you are going to be clicking on the forum anyway to see ALL the new threads

my suggestion would be to use a tabbed browser

open the first thread you want to read in a new tab

then open all the other new threads

while yo uare reading the first new thread, the other new threads can load

Yeah, use something like Firefox, so it can load the page while you're on something else.

Expanding on this idea... where it says '[date] \n by ...', just add in after it, like this:
'[date] \n by ... \n in ...'
