I don't have anything portable ... except an old Sony WM-F75 (from 1985), which an uncle gave me and I used mostly in 1998-1999 until it broke (clean picture here, mine became like this) And I also had another old Aiwa HS-P06 (from 1984) that I used for a while after this, here ... But non-portable, I have a JVC MX-KA3 (clean picture here, mine is here) that I got last Christmas ... it has dual tape, 3 CD, radio, and AUX input, I plugged the computer's sound into its AUX input so I can use its speakers (and easily switch to headphones) and the volume control |

Logic dictates that if I obtain anything portable I lose it or it gets stolen within a week. I'd like to get a nice stereo system to hook up to my computer when I get out of here, right now there's no way in hell I can compete with the locals decibalwise |

I do have an old Sony Discman that's in good shape - it even plays CD-R's. That's pretty rare considering its time frame. There's a difference between iPod and MiniDisc. How much can you fit on one? |

I have two sony discmen. One is broken, and the other eat batteries like my anut eats cake. So I use a walkman. Which isn't bad at all, since I have a cassette collection spanning 50 or so Tapes (Not including mixes) so I always have something to listen to. Radio sucks. For my home stereo. I dunno how old it is but my dad gived it to me (and he had it since I could remember). It can play 8Tracks and Cassettes. Yes, I own a small collection of 8 tracks. It has a Phono port which I hook my dreamcast to so I can play CDs. Or I'll hook my PS2 to it and play DVD with better sound (My TV has shitty sound). |

The coolest portable system has got to be the Sega CD-X, it plays CDs with a battery, and if you plug it into a TV you can play Sega Geneswis (and Sega CD) games

Say, how long did copying all that music take for you? How do you store all the discs or choose what to bring? *cough* Kasumi took on me, I don't think I would have defended it that strongly otherwise. Originally posted by Imajin Solitaire. "pwned". |

Yeah, I didn't know what to expect with them. But hey, 6 months is 6 months. My friend just dropped 60 USD's on a pair of Koss'. Well worth it. They are absolutely amazing. |

It takes me a while to get it all over, real time unfortunately. Fortunately, though, Chad has a NetMD recorder, which streams stuff across at about 32x. Very useful I recorded two hours worth of songs in twenty minutes yesterday |

They work pretty much like onstage monitoring. |

I don't really go anywhere that I'd need it, but when I went off to Seattle, I bought a Memorex MP3 player (my Discman was busted). It's only 128 MB, though, so it might be on gym duty once I get an iPod-esque device. (Why not an actual iPod? Too much... I might go with a Dell one that's cheaper and has more features.)

Lets see I still have a Casette player since I was 10 is it..? Something like ten and it still works but I don't use it anymore since I don't have many tapes but it had a radio band thing on it. I DID have a AIWA digital casette player with radio and you could press buttons and it'd go to the station it was call but..I took it to school like a dummy, showed my friend, and she stole it..somehow..well she's not my friend anymore but that was one of the many things she stole. After that I bought a CD player..really..old and skipped a whole bunch. It takes 4 batteries so no one uses that one. I think its broken though so maybe thats why . I bought a nice purdy one for christmas, CD player with radio but that's broken now. It was a philips. The Headphones were cool until they broke and then the CD player went. I bought another one but I already put too much so it broke and now I'm CD player less. My stereo CD player plays CD's when it wants and has radio. I mostly use the radio since it doesnt want to play my CD's I still have all of my broken CD players..don't know why lol |

I have a Nomad Jukebox Zen. 20gb HD, might change it to 60gb depending on how much it would cost . (edited by Max on 04-06-04 05:51 PM) |
