For example, I don't give a shit.

Here's an example. Every time I log on to hotmail, I get shit like this (ctrl-c ctrl-v):
Saturday
on MSN
Rumor: Britney to China
Break bad fitness habits
Simon Cowell: clueless?

I hate logging into Hotmail because I have to see that kind of worthless crap. Really, I should just empty out my account and let it die already.

I find most everything on TV, in newspapers/magazines, and on the Internet to be totally worthless nowadays. It's always the same stupid things over and over, like a broken record. Blah blah TV stars this, blah blah political scandal that. It's maddening! Are people really shallow enough to give two sh*ts about any of this, to let it basically dominate their lives?

Argh. Maybe I should just turn off my brain and be a good little sheep like the rest of America...

Death to current events!

Seriously, I'm not kept up to date either...nor do I really care...I could literally just put myself into a time-warp ten years from now...and the only thing I'd be worried about is if we still microwave burritos...and hopefully not doing the three seashell deal.

EDIT: BMF: I would too but...I can't.

See, that's the thing. I don't think of myself as smarter than everybody else, or more knowledgeable, or anything. I don't think I'm cool and everyone else is just a drooling moron who only cares about the latest celebrity crime. I think that most people fail to give a shit. We have a fairly mixed population on this board, yet all the responses to this thread (all three of them) have also been from non-shit-givers. So if there are so many "good little sheep" where are they, huh? I know a lot of different people who probably fit the description of "good little sheep" (out in the "real world")... even the most "tv-trained" among them care way more about their own lives than the bullshit going on with famous people on the magic picture box.

Now, I'm not talking about news here. No matter what your politics are a lot of that shit does affect you. I'm just talking about this hollywood shit.

I'm an optimist. I think that most people are above this crap, and those who do care aren't really to blame. I don't think there are as many sheep as some people despair about, and I don't think I'm special for not caring about Tom Cruise's sex life. Am I wrong? Because I have yet to meet anyone who admits to doing otherwise.

EDIT: HOT UPDATE:
Saturday

Tabloid pics dismay royals

They put in that SHIT because everyone else loves it, and they just hate people who don't like it (Like me) because they don't give things like amazing facts or something being discovered etc. which I'm interested in

Easy way to fix the Hotmail issues, assuming you don't need to access it everywhere:

* Download Hotmail Popper.
* Use your favorite POP mail client to get your mail off of Hotmail.
* Never look at MSN agayn.

Although I'll probably have to rely on MSN for my Internet access when I move out, until I find something better... they have GOT to change it so you don't need to use their dialer and so their browser doesn't start up unless you want it to. Even if I changed the startup page there to Yahoo Mail.

Simon Cowell is from England. He's on Pop Idol, and loads of people hate him... He's funny when he makes fun of people who haven't got an ounce of tallent

Although you are right... This sort of "Hello Magazine" news is tiresome, and only very few people actually give a monkey's about it
