| OOC: This is a special battle. Up to four people may participate. Rules will be announced below. Oh, and have fun. --------------------------------------------------- William: "Hey, look at this! We're in Fantasy Meadows! Ain't this cool?" Katie: "Yeah... a little. But why are we here." Mawlo: "What part of 'warp' do you not understand?" Takana: "None of it, from the looks of it." William, sitting in the main seat of the ship, glanced down at the field. He liked the bright scenery and the river flowing through it. He scanned his view around until he saw what looked to be a track in it. He grinned. William: "Hey, guys, what would you say if I, ummm... held a race here?" Mawlo: "A race? What for?" William: "I don't know, just to have one." Katie: "Sounds alright then..." William lowered the ship towards the arch in the track. The finish line was untouched, as though a race has not been held in a while. William changed the ship to a judging room, glass windows showing the finish line and monitors keeping in line all of the parts of the track. William put on his headset with microphone, and started speaking. Mawlo, with newly gained shades, turned up the sound system and monitored all sound systems, keeping track of all strange sound problems, if any. William: "Greetings, everyone! Welcome to the first ever Sim-Battle Air Ride Race! I will be your host and judge, William. Doing the sounds is Mawlo the Mawile. Katie and Takana will be watching for any strange events in the track and make sure it stays pretty even." Takana: "Hello!" William: "Anyway, in case you were wondering, this is going to be a three lap race in which you will race to win... nothing but bragging rights! Ok, so this is for fun, but hey, this should tune in your skills for fighting. "Here is how it goes. For each part of the track, you get two posts. In those two posts, you will try your best to dodge/attack/defend to gain the first position. However, you cannot exceed this limit. If you do, you will automatically be put in dead last. I will judge on how well you guys attack each other, and if you are really good, you will be put first for that section. When ahead, you can place mines or throw something behind you, or just continue on the course. When behind, you can use boosts to try to get ahead or throw something or use skills. Whatever you choose to do, you can do. However, some of the rules of the Sim-Battle Arena are still in play, such as you cannot decide if your attack works or fails (and as such, you can't decide your place). If the attack works and the other person falls back a place, he fell back, so you obviously gained a place. "Ok, I am confusing myself here. Let me get a demonstration. KIRBY!" Four Kirbys flew in on Warpstars, lining up on the track's starting line. The pink Kirby looked at William in the judging room. William: "You know what to do." Kirby nodded. A floating stoplight attached itself to the arch. It started at red, then went to yellow, and then green. The four Warpstars started moving forward. Pink Kirby: Being the first one to appear on the track, he got the upper hand in the race, being first in this section of the track. He quickly veered to the left to avoid the oncoming wall of the narrow section of the track. He didn't attack this time. Red Kirby: Second was not a good thing for him. He needed to get ahead of Pink Kirby. He quickly reached behind him and pulled out a motion sensor mine. He threw it on the ground behind him, hoping to stop the other Kirbys from getting ahead of him. Blue Kirby: Noticing the mine laying on the ground, he tried to veer clear of it. Instead, he ran right into it, sending him into the air. He got control and steered his Warpstar right above Red Kirby. Yellow Kirby: Last place sucks. Yellow Kirby quickly had to get ahead. What better way of doing this than going behind Red Kirby and gaining speed from the slipstream. He sped up, getting right behind Red Kirby. William: "Ok, I think you all might get it now... well, if you don't you could always ask before the race starts. After two posts in that track section, I will give you the stats of the race as they stand. "Ok, here is the track layout, separated into parts of the track (remember, each track part has two posts for you to do): Part 1: Right after the finish line, it is a simple straight path. The right wall starts going inward halfway to a bridge. The bridge lays just on the river. Part 2: Right curve. A smooth, wide curve that goes at about a 160 degree turn. The fair grass (actual track) goes as a mirrored "S" turn, while where the grass is rough, the right part of the inverted "S" has a ramp and the left part has a rock that if hit with the right amout of speed, can be used as a ramp. Turbo is on the left side of the fair portion of the "S". Part 3. A rocky road that goes up into a mountain. Straight. Goes into a dark cave. Drop once in the middle of the cave can cause gliding. Part ends once out of the cave. Part 4. Very short straightaway. Then a really sharp hairpin turn. If not boosting this curve, you could crash into the wall. Goes to next part. Part 5. Final Stretch. A rock ramp on right half of track at the beginning of this part. A few more feet ahead is a rock ramp to the left, which has rough grass right after it. If you take right path you get fair grass. Finish line right after rough part of the track. William: "Ok, hopefully that isn't confusing. I'll try to find a picture for you... who don't understand... but anyway, now to get the warphole opened in the Sim-Battle Auditorium." A probe left the judging station and went to the starting line, opening a warp that would allow people from the Sim-Battle Auditorium to participate. William: "Summary: There will be four racers. Your position will be detirmined by who posts here first (if you are the first to respond, you start in first, etc.). All contestants will use Warpstars. Three laps. No cheating. Standard rules apply. "Also, if this goes really well, I'll create my own track myself for Air Ride racing using whatever I have to my disposal (whether it be Paint or the freeware game Generally)." |

| Master Mario: Hey, Kirby! Here we are! The FANTASY MEADOWS! meadows. meadows. meadows. What were we supposed to do now? Kirby Star: I think we have to race here Sir. There are some rather strange vertically built warp stars here. I think we should get on one. Kirby Star and Master Mario both get on one warp star. Kirby Star: This.... this feels rather uncomfortable, sir. Master Mario: Then, I'll just root for you in the big ship thing, bye! Kirby Star: B-but, sir! Oh, I have a bad feeling about this. Kirby Star, unnerved by the vibrating of the "engine" of this strange new warp star, waited anxiously for the other racers to apply. |

| Maya: "This sounds really fun." Luke: "What does?" Maya glared at Luke. They both did this to each other. Acted like they didn't pay attention at all, but where in fact listening very closely to each other. Maya: "The Air Race." Luke: "Oh sure, how about you join in?" Maya: "You don't want to?" Luke: "It would be to easy, I could just play some music and everyone would fall asleep." Maya sighed and walked over to one of the stars. She timidly got on one, waiting at the starting line, looking like she was about to fall over. She was glad she'd come knowing how to balance on a moving object. Maya: "Can't wait till I can stand up, will make things easier." |

| William: "Alright, now we got two racers set up and ready! Now we just need two more for fun!" A stats board appeared across from the judging booth, blasting from the ground, carrying beneath it a stand for any bystanders to watch. The stats for the race flashed onto the screen. It showed as follows: Current Positions: 1. Kirby Star 2. Maya 3. N/A 4. N/A Racing Pending. William: "Ok, after we get two more racers, we shall start. I'll wait..." | Suddenly a dark presence could be felt. It was dark but still forgiving nice but still merciless. After awhile the presence became stronger and a man walked out on the course. He was tall and had a cape on himself and very long hair he stopped on the middle of the course raised his hand and said. ???: Yo. My names dragon master mind if i join the race?
