Hey, is it possible to play this thing online? If this is a really stupid question, it just proves how little I know about the game. |

Originally posted by Yoshi Dude I honestly say, it would kind of suck. The main reason why I really enjoy DnD is just because it's fun getting together with a group of people. And we're a loosely "RPing" group, so we don't always "act" as our character, well the newer people don't at least. We just talk out of character a lot. But, it would just be hard for a DM to try to explain imagery and things like that online, then you'd need some virtual dice so people know you're telling the truth on your rolls, and a virtual map and everything. I'm sure it's been done, and it's possible, but I think you'd be missing out on more than half the experience personally. |

I'm currently partaking in two DnD campaigns, as well as being the GM of a Star Wars RPG campaign (which is also built on the d20-system). I know a lot of people really dislike SWRPG, but I find it a lot of fun.

Star Wars RPG, from WotC, as you can see. Technically, the only thing you need to play is this (sort of like a PHB and DMGuide all-in-one), but there are many other books to make the game more enjoyable.

A lot of my friends say that futuristic DnD is really bad (not Star Wars). I'm still interested in trying other styles out though. Star Wars would seem pretty interesting, I'd definitely like to play in the KOTOR era. |

The problem, however, is that the dog we had at the time (Merlin was his name) chewed up all the stuff to the point where it was unusable. |

As for d100 (or d%), by the way, we usually play so that 40 + 0 = 40, 90 + 9 = 99, 00 + 2 = 2 and etc. So how do you get 100? 00 + 0 = 100. Of course, it doesn't really matter how you do it, as long as everyone knows the system beforehand (you don't get any arguments that way). d100 is hardly used by anyone else than the DM/GM anyway. |
