Well deserved recognition, DD (or shall I say, Dad  )!!! You rock bro! I still firmly believe that Mario Adventure is the single greatest ROM hack ever... yes, even better than Demo World: Legend Continues.EDIT: Dude, not only are you on pg. 23, but your game is also mentioned on the cover!  EDIT 2: here's what I have to say about the article: 1. I agree with you. The remakes are shoddy. I mean, look at SMB3's remake! They replace like 90% of the fire-spitting plants with normal ones! :O I mean, what's the point of level 8-1 (not the tank, but the actual one labeled 8-1) if it is so easy??? They seem to like easying the new games, if you will. I hate that! A lot!2. "If you don't have fun doing it, it won't turn out very well." 100% agreed, bro. 3. And yes, too many people do a shitty job on hacks. Cause they don't take the time necessary to make a good one, like you did. 4. Why are you shocked that people would love a great game that kicks many other ROM hacks in the ass?  5. Kid Icarus hack? Whoa.6. Didn't you quit the MM3 hack? Oh wait, you posted that announcement on April Fools, didn't you?  7. Checking your site, it looks as if you announced it before then.  Whoa.8. If Nintendo ever did decide to make a 2D game and take ideas from this, you better point out that they'd have to have your permission I mean, I could honestly see them making some sort of E-card for SMA4 with Colossal Classics! It wouldn't surprise me... that was my favorite world.  That's my take. Great job, bro! EDIT 3: I just decided to add Mario Adventure to the PocketNES ROM on my flash cart. And it has amazingly become even more fun, and challenging (the latter being because I like the graphics not to be crap, so I maximize the screen, forcing me to use L + R to scroll up and down and see what the hell I'm doing ). I applaud you for making a game that even appears as genius on PocketNES! | I'm so envy on you DahrkDaiz , I must so learn ASM. I had a simple ASM guide somewhere... And about the remakes,the problem with SMA4 was that it was made simpler. They didn't change so much in the other remakes well? Apart from adding things like they did in SMA3... (which probably will be the only remake I buy ) |
