It just seems to me that this forum is full of people's problems with life. I want this thread to be a fully optimistic thread, no problems, all anything, I'll tell why my life is great to begin, people can follow up with why there's is great or comment on other's post. So here we go...

First of all, I'll start with my current relationship. I know I'm in love, and it is much different then any other relationship I have been in. My previous relationships, the lady would always want to go out and do something fun with other friends, which isn't bad, but there was never a chance to build chemistry, or get to know each other. It seemed like they didn't enjoy doing things with just me, and had to have their friends around to comfort them. But in my current relationship, most of the things we do are just me and her, and we could just sit there, not say a word, and just be with each other, and I know we both enjoy just the presence of the other one. And when we do stuff like going out to eat, bowling, miniature golf, etc. it just makes it that much more fun cause it is with each other. It's sad, but I make it through work everyday only because I'm thinking about how I will be with her in the coming night. I honestly couldn't see myself with any other person in this world, no matter how beautiful or smart they are, because this girl is the most beautiful person in the world to me, everything about her is beautiful to me.

I've got more stuff to add, but I'll leave it at that for now.

something positive for a change

It's sad, but I make it through work everyday only because I'm thinking about how I will be with her in the coming night.

why is that sad? that is what gets me through each day...i adore my best friend a lot and she makes the difference to my day when I talk to her. Even it is just for a few minutes--knowing she is alright and the things going on with her at the time gives me piece of mind. Your last sentences is identical to my thoughts of my best friend--i don't think i can find anyone else like her. I hope it works out for you

yay something not depressing!

What keeps me optimistic is the fact that i can have good relations over the internet. For instance my alaskan friend i've known for a few years and we're still good friends. Then there's my family and friends. I'm just used to looking at the good things. I also take pride that everyone at school comes to be when they have a problem.

yay happy happy things!

Yaay!

Something good going on right now:

I have beer in the fridge.
I have friends that are supporting me while things are difficult, and I am extremely thankful for that.

I have no schoolwork, as i'm practicaly finished with everything. It's awesome as i'm competly free from work now. I can finally get around doing stuff, such as trying to start drawing.

And oh, when Taryn mentioned beer... I have one coke in the fridge. That is mine. I keep thinking on how good that coke is going to be.

...i'm addicted to coke. xD

My friends are also feeling alot better in general, there is less whining and more... friendlyness. Having many depressing friends at the same time dosent' exactly help your mood, but now i'm happy for them.

And for once I had a birthday where I got exactly as I wanted. Alot of Money.

Things are finally starting to roll as far as the wedding is concerned. and we're actually going to get married on an island, while we're on a Disney cruise. We'e been engaged for about 5 years now and together for almost 2, and it was mostly money that was stopping us from having a wedding. Now, not everyone can make it to the cruise for the wedding, so once we get back home, we're going to have a little party and invite friends and family to that. So it just goes to show you, if you work hard, be a little paitent, things can work out for the best. I'm still in a daze that this whole event is actually going to happen.

Here's something a bit less profound, but positive none-the-less; lately, I've been able to keep multiple videogames going. Normally, if I start a rather long videogame, at least ten hours in length, I find myself side tracked by another game before I complete the first. This leads to my boring of the previous game, but I bore of the new game and go on to seek a third. This cycle continues for months at a time, and when I finally get back around to that first link in the chain, it's been so long since I've played that I must start over from the begining, or face confusion to plot and gameplay details.

For the past three months, however, I've been able to keep myself interested in many video and computer games simultaneously. I usually only have time to play one or two of them per day, and some days I don't play anything at all, but I've not lost track or interest of any of them. The list includes...

hehe. go on a giant gaming binge. Get 3 2 litre bottles of coke a crapload of pop -tarts and such and you'll be ready to game for days. You're eyes will probably start bleeding by day 3 but you can just solve that with some bleach.

Positive is a way that I seem to never look at things, but as I pause for a moment and reflect I can say that I have oodles of friends that would support me in anything I did.
Wow.

Now to add to why life is going great for me.

I've just graduated from high school, and now I am getting ready for my college life. I've got my major (Computer Engineering), I'm registered for all my classes, and I'm ready to head out on my own. It's the next step in my life, and even though it's a bit scary, the fact that I could be starting a family any time now, etc, but still, I'm ready to take on the next step in my life. Also, the girlfriend is going to the same university, only her college is 45 miles away in a different city. While knowing 45 minutes is not an incredible distance, it's still enough, and we've talked about what we're going to do. We both agreed that on weekends we'll be able to come and see eachother. We also talked about how if we can't work it out, it obviously isn't meant to be, and we'll go our seperate ways. The fact that we both agreed on that last statement makes me even more confident that she is the one for me. And thus, is even more reason for my life going so good.

Another good thing

* I'm getting a better computer and selling mine to my brother
* I'm 90% organised to go into hospital now; all I need is the books.
* My bedroom is *tidy* (OMG)

All in all, I'm feeling good that I'm nice and organised, and I don't have to worry about the organisation side of going to hospital. I'm going to have all my things, and when Mum comes to my place to get any other stuff, she's not going to find my room in disarray either and then tell me off for it...

College isn't so bad--just have to invest the right amount of time in your classes and stay a top of things. In college, they no longer hold your hand so if problems come up, you need to act on them fast--otherwise, things may be too late.

So, what college are you going to?

I'm going to University of Nebraska at Omaha. I wasn't saying college was bad, I'm actually looking forward to going. I'm just more scared of the fact that I actually have to grow up now. The fact that my parents could have been ready to get married at the age I'm at now baffles me. True it was different times back then, but still, I don't feel like I'm emotionally mature enough to make such a commitment in my life. But when I am, life will be great, as it is now.

I feel the same way--i don't think i'll be ready to marry until I can support myself--which by then, I'll feel that I am emotionally mature and self-sufficient that I can not only take care of myself, but take of my spouse and any children that come my way.

Might as well add more.

I have a job I just aquired for the summer. I work 7-4 Mon-Fri, and make 9 dollars an hour. Better yet, I don't do anything. Just update AutoCAD drawings and go look at electrical lines. Fun stuff.

Also, baseball is another great part of my life. I'm batting cleanup on a regular basis for my team, and we're finally coming around and beating high calibur teams. Life is fun.

Did I mention the girlfriend, god a love that girl.

Life is... still great. Just wait til it goes to hell and you have me weeping in here.

Its summer, and I'm slowly wasting away while enjoying my video games, nothing bad happening, I'm happy about my life, a few people annoy me, but hey, thats why I have the "Its before 5 pm, go away, I'm trying to sleep."

Nothing bad, must say, I'm enjoying my summer, very much, having fun, living. Don't worry about anything over the summer, just get up, and do whatever I want. I'm going to go stay away for about four more hours now, then think about going to sleep.
