| A very little bit of background is necessary here. I came to this board after being invited by a friend. This friend knew me as "Colleen," and warned me when I came here that there was already a prominent user by that name, so I used my secondary name, "Zem." However, the overlap has resulted in untrackable amounts of confusion and probably bloodshed, and although my only crime was the lack of prescience, I never got a fair shot at what I can easily prove is my actual name. This is the question: Should we act like Luddites who fear progress and just leave things undisturbed? OR (this is a much better idea) should we leave luck out of the equation and have a matchup of skill, moderated by a third party, to determine who gets to hold the name Colleen on this board? I will not vote, and I hope "Colleen" has the tact not to either, since each of us knows what the other thinks.
