Hello, just thought I'd share with you some information I figured out while working with my SMW ROM: GFX27 (Mode7 graphics) is stored in 3bpp linear format. It contains the Koopa Kid swinging platform and the Reznor boss background. Tile Molester (http://www.stud.ntnu.no/~kenth/tm/) can view and edit 3bpp linear format images. Please share this with the SMW hacking community. |

Well hot damn, you're right. I don't think I ever even tried that before. And for everyone who has some problem using Tile Molester (I don't know why you would, but some people insist on using inferior tile programs like TLP), use this nifty little program by mikeyk. | |||

Perhaps they could be used for other games with a 3bpp linear graphics format as well (uncompressed 3bpp in Zelda3?) |
