I'm using mIRC, but I'm gonna change... I don't like it, it beeps randomly for no reason even though I don't have any windows scrolled up, nobody says my name and I don't receive anything else than Ping? Pong! -- so a change of client would be good.

But I'll still put mIRC since I've used it for, oh, just about 7 years now...

<chant>Klient! Klient! Klient!!<chant>

So uhm. Yeah. I prefer Klient. it's a windows based IRC client. The interface is cleaner than mIRC and doesn't have it's own scripting engine, so you don't have to learn something new if you have scripted for web pages.. It will allow you to script in VBScript, JScript, or PearlScript. And that's just the native support, there are other plugins to allow other languages .

There are lots of things I love about this program. But there are too many to list, Give it a shot yourself and see what you think of it. I've turned a few people over to Klient instead of mIRC or Bersirc after I told them about it. Acmlm for one... as well as a few others. So uhm... yeah. Go Klient!!

Yeah, Klient is good. But I cracked it, and Klient noticed So it started spamming all the channels I was in with "I use a cracked version of Klient" messages. Very annoying.
So I use mIRC now.

BitchX is just too much of a, er, Bitch. I've tried it a couple of times. It crashes on the nick change prompt and is just generally hard to get around. It's like Emacs for IRC.

I remember seeing that crack message from Yarx before, I think it activated some !xxxx command (forgot what it was exactly) to make him quit I just used the regular evaluation version and tricked it to reset the evaluation period each time it expired, until a few months later when that stopped working for some reason

But we got a better crack now, one that works just like the legal registered copy

And this is what Klient looks like on mine ...

Care to PM me a link to where I can get that crack? Or send it over IRC or something.
It would be greatly appreciated

I'm using mIRC. While I havent really experimented with very many alternatives, the few I have tried have been crap.
