| Ok so Ive known about this game for a LONG LONG time. I saw a bunch of stuff on it on G4tv.Com(the show) and I thought it was neat but never gave it any other thought. Now I just saw the commercials on Tv and Im getting reallu excited...funny thing is that the exact same thing happened with Kingdom Hearts. I read all the info in GameInformer and I thought...hmm square and disney huh? oh well. Then I see the commercials pop up on Tv and I got it the next day. Kingdom Hearts has become one of my favorite games of all time. Now the cool thing about Advent Rising is that its an action/shooter spanning multiple games. Throughout the game your character will develop super powers and stuff for some crazy reason. Ive also heard that the second game will offer online multiplayer but it will be tied into the story, not sure how thatll work but it sounds interesting. I think ill buy this game tomorrow when it comes out, I just hope that since it is a trilogy it doesnt suddenly end and make me wait 3 years for the next game. And since theres no online play in this one there really wont be any replay value. |

Great, I never thought of the possible ending like that.  But yeah, I've known about this game for quite some time myself. I'm glad they ditched the First-Person perspective view that was possible to change to throughout the game, it just wouldn't feel right in a game where you're constantly jumping and spinning around in the air (at least from what I've seen for some of the trailers). The storyline does really seem interesting, since it's being directed by a Sci-Fi novelist (it's Scott something ...). If you ask me, it's almost like the main character becomes something like Neo, "The One". But I really like the world the games set in, I can't help but think of Star Wars while looking at some of the screens. So yeah, basically this game does look great. And it'll finally be out tommorow.  |

| What are you talking about ending? Anyways ill buy it tomorrow And yes he is kinda like Neo, but actually its more like hes the first human to evolve into a new phase of humanity if you will. Story and Music are awesome for sure, gameplay looks solid lets just hope it plays solid. |

| Gotcha, Halo 2 single player wasnt horrible but it was BAAAAD, it was like playing HALF a game not only that but it felt like the unfinished half. Multiplayer is spectacular but that doesnt merit it a perfect score. In my eyes Halo 2 is an 8.5-9.0 at most. Ive decided to buy Advent regardless of Gamespys review. I just have this gut feeling that I will enjoy it...lets hope its not just gas edit--- just got back from gamestop. they didnt have it ill have it for sure by tomorrow(edited by Sion on 05-31-05 12:39 PM) |

| I only played for a little while but I think its pretty cool so far. The graphics arent top notch but they arent horrible by any means. The voice acting and soundtrack are amazing so far. I havnt really hit any heavy action yet but the little practice stuff was pretty fun. I didnt get a great feel for the combat because the game uses a flick targeting system. You flick the R-Stick in the direction of an enemy and it locks on. The R-Stick is still used for camera as well. The problem I had was that my Controller is busted, so I had trouble flick targeting. Im gonna go get a new controller now and ill hopefully get through a good portion of the game tonight. ill tell you how it develops. |

| Well IGN's review was pretty different compared to Gamespy's, they praised this games sound, when Gamespy said the music get's really timid towards the end of the game. But, I never really judge my thoughts on reviews, just saying what I've read so far. It does look good, but I never really thought this would be a huge blockbuster hit. I'll probably rent it myself soon. Vulkar: I'm pretty sure they actually took out the First-Person view option, last I heard. |

| Ok Ive played enough to say that the game is awesome. You can switch to first person by pressing Back at any time...but why would you? 3rd person is where its at!!! The action is fast paced and intence. You can use a combonation of any two guns you pick up ( I used dual rocket launchers for a while!!!) and the guns upgrade as you use them. For example my Machine Gun leveled up so I have mroe ammo and more firepower, I also leveled up the Alien version of the Machine Gun and it got an alternate mode where you shoot big plasma balls...the look like Green Spirit Bombs (DBZ). I also drove a Dune Buggy across a desert it was fast and fun. With infinate boost!!! The music and voice acting are fantastic in my opinion. Theres nothing better than classical music in the heat of an action packed battle. The animation for the Seekers are slick, they can jump off of walls an attack you. Oh that reminds me, this one Seeker was really tricky so I punched him in his face knocking him to the ground, than I unloaded Dual Plasma Machine Guns on him. Can you say ownage? | Ive heard its about 10 hours straight trhough. Which is a usual length for action games like this, but the ability to upgrade weapons and super powers along with the changing story line give it some replay value. Also without this game you wont understand the next 2 which I have high hopes for. This game with some tweaks and polish could be AMAZING on the 360. Along with Halo, Perfect Dark, and this XBox 360 could be the must have system for all out Sci-Fi gaming needs. EDIT---- Im pretty far into the game now, ive got all 6 super powers and let me tell you...IM UNSTOPPABLE!!!! Im seriously loving this game, I cant wait to see how powerful this guy will be by the end of the 3rd game. I mean Im pratically a God now and Im like half way through the first game! | YOU ARE WRONG!! on so many levels its ridiculous. First of all NO info has been released on Advent 2. Second of all ADVENT SHADOW is a PSP game where you play as the girl. Gideon is the main character in the entire trilogy, its just common sense dude. |
