| Like the page says, just make sure you either know your way around this stuff *or* know other people online who do. And if an AcmlmBoard proves to be too tough to set up, there's plenty of other decent message boards out there that also have installation guides. (Although not much can replace this baby...) |

| You don't need to own a server to set up an Acmlmboard (or any board), but for PHP-based boards such as Acmlmboard, you need a web host that supports PHP. There are approximately 0 free hosts in the entire universe that support PHP, which means you will probably have to pay. | |||

| And you'll need at least 1 MySQL database. Besides that though, most free hosts out there seriously do suck. I know there's quite a bit of people running boards through funpic's hosting, so you might want to look into that. If not, I'd recommend actually paying for some quality hosting. |

| Yep, if you even want to take setting up a board seriously, you're going to have to find a good webhost. You WILL have to pay unless you want to be hit with advertising, downtime, unreliable service and bandwidth cutoffs. All free hosts will have at least three out of the four problems outlined above, and in plenty of suply. You need: - PHP Support - MySQL support - A decent amount of bandwidth / data transfer - FTP Access - A Database administration tool. PHPMyAdmin is the most popular.
