...you people actually get sick from games? or headaches or whatever? I could understand a headache if you were maybe playing a model 1 sega genesis with earphones on and blasted, but uh... I've been playing games for as long as I could remember and the only negative feedback they gave me were putting off other things. [work, chores, sleep, food, etc]

You never had a intense multiplayer game for hours? Althought I guess that my headache was a lack of water, becuse it usually happens on hot summer days too as I recall it. Not otherwise. (edited by Kitten Yiffer on 05-30-05 12:37 PM) |

does perfect dark and goldeneye count? or maybe bomberman? I played killer instinct with a friend from about 8pm to 5 am before. I've done my fair share of gaming :o

I got motion sickness while playing my Gameboy once. I suppose it could have been due to the fact that I was hanging upside down, and thrashing my head wildly about at the time. But I think it was the GB. I always held in restart when I powered off, but only with games with internal memory, of course. I guess that makes me a dork.

*thinks* I think I might have gotten motion sickness once while playing Doom on my oooooooooold (486/25) PC, but that was on a small screen for 3-4 hours. :\ Chances of me getting it now are almost nil. |

Well, I've never gotten carsick, or airsick, or seasick, or sick from anything that I didn't eat/drink/smoke pretty much. I guess I built up a tolerance from video games :o fight seasickness, play kirby.

My Lufia II save still works: 97 hours of time, about 39 or 40 different items from the Ancient Cave (I even found two Gades Blades plus the one regularly in the game), plus beaten the Master Jelly. I HATE Gold Dragons But before my SNES liked to delete the Lufia II saves, well ... |

I always held down reset while turning the power off. I was a good little boy. The Dragon Warrior games were notorious for losing savegames. I guess that's what happens when you store the current map data in SRAM, rather than somewhere else! |

Only time I ever had a game erase on me was SMW, when the SRAM chip itself was bad. Never saved the donut ghost house or the green switch palace. cost $20 for a new cartridge. SNES even has a Never have gotten sick from games, unless it was on a low-battery GB in my car on a bumpy road. I guess I have to thank my aunt for that, getting me a SNES at 4 years old. |

Is it really worth it to remove the battery? I doubt it would make that many minutes of diffrence and I rather not damage the battery cover by taking in and out the batteries. Thought I only own a GB, GBA SP and DS. I never did that with my orginal GB. Well, I don't let batteries to rot in my GB for weeks either... |

Never made any difference with any of my old GB games... saves always worked perfectly fine and I still *have* saves on some games.

Hmmm, I remember my EarthBound game deleting on its own if I didn't play it for a few days. I don't know if it still does that now.

beneficii: Well, unless a unrechargeable battery recharges inside your cart. I bet it gotten even worse... I hadn't seen any of my games to lose savegames thought, save for that Ruby savegame. Where it had a backup of the savegame anyway... |
