| All right, all right... Settle down... My hosting plan has been upgraded, I now have room to host people. The server supports most languages (PHP, SSI, CGI/PERL), and there is no space limit (within reason ; try to take up more than 50Mb without permission and die). RESTRICTIONS (Only applicable to people who are not staffers at kiwibonga.com): - You must already have a site up and running, or have a pretty darn good idea what you want to do with the space. - You may not use the space exclusively as signature/temporary storage or whatever. I'm not giving out placeholders. - You may only use (signatures/avatars/minipics/whatever will be viewed by 500 people a day or more) on acmlm's board or my message board (this is to limit bandwidth usage, these things are incredibly bandwidth hungry) - You may not interact with the MySQL databases at all without prior permission. If you need a database, or a table, or something mysql related, please notify me and we'll work something out. - You may not host a board on there, however, you can have a forum in the hosted sites section of my forums. If you need additional features on the board, don't hesitate to ask me, I can probably come up with something. To apply, fill out this form COMPLETELY, and with real info. I will not call you or divulge your address to anyone, but it's something that I need to keep track: Name: Date of birth: Full Address: Phone number: Current website address (if you have one): Description of the site (or future site): Approximate space needed (leave blank if you don't know): And send it to me by PM on this board. NOTE: I am not offering hosting because I am nice, I'm offering hosting in hopes that it'll boost traffic to my site and make more people register on my boards. | What I mean is that I'm gonna have to check how everyone uses space before I let people use more space, it's virtually unlimited, but you gotta keep in mind that it's shared, besides, I hardly see how most people who will apply would use more than 50Megs and not monopolize the bandwidth completely (video/music files). And no this is not an april fools joke -- I wouldn't make a joke about this after over 30 persons had their sites deleted on my server when my crappy host decided that my site was illegal (which wasn't true but they were a scam company) |

Uh-huh. Shill your own site.  Paying for a site *KINDA* defeats the idea of free hosting. And most people don't need 500 MB of space to begin with, especially if they're not hosting large files. |

Their site said they were based in great britain, but the actual company was in turkey and kind of shady oh well At least now they're receiving several hundred spam mails a day to each and every one of their business email addresses.
