Anyone else here into podcasts? I've been listening to some for quite a while (This Week in Tech (The old TSS gang ), Free Talk Live, Le Show, Engadget, The Daily Source Code, and Hack a Day has a new one (it rocks, too)). It'd be pretty cool to start a podcast, which I think I'll be doing soon. If anyone's interested just tell me, though I doubt that's possible. iPodder is a revolutionary idea. ipodder.org has tons of info on podcasting, and many podcasts for those who don't know about it. |

I've been helping a website start up a Podcast advertisement for a few days now. I'm learning bits about it, and it sounds quite promising.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Podcast The future of blogging, I guess. Check out This Week in Tech, it's great. Basically podcasting is where people record themselves talking each week/day/month/year. Then people can either manually download the mp3's, or get software like ipodder that will do it for you. So yeah. I've found someone at a different forum that seems to be interested in doing a podcast, which we'll be doing over Skype (possibly. Perhaps TeamSpeak or Ventrillo). I just need to see if I can get like one or two others over there interested (or anywhere). Another thing that I found interesting was how bad the idea of PodNova is. I mean, you have to use their site to add feeds, and if it isn't on there (not likely, but possible), you're out of luck. |

Well, the mp3's are usually from 7 to 15 megs. And, there are places that release podcasts via bittorrent, but it's so small it doesn't really matter (my hosting is $7/month, and I have 120GB of bandwidth).

This is more known as "Podcasting." I used to do it when my I-Pod worked. Still gotta take it in to get fixed. |
