This one is the furtherest so far.

A very interesting article indeed. This one was discovered by some amateurs who were using a standard backyard telescope. That, and a little bit of luck.

wow...that's luck, i mean the size of that planet, as seen from earth with the naked eye has to be ridiculously small, on the scale of a few molecules wide

one side comment i have to say is they just used up their chance to win the lottery

It's amazing how they can discover planets that are so far away...even Earth-sized planets.

I figure, with all these planets out there, there must be life somewhere. (Or, at least, plenty of possible settings for future science-fiction novels.)

Please note that this is NOT a planet around our star

This is a planet discovered around another star, and astronomers have been doing this for years

Also, Planet X was the name of Pluto before it was officially named

Interesting. Maybe we'll be able to find some friends... 10,000 light years away.

Still, it would be pretty neat.

So, is this the planet that's been talked about a lot over the years? The possible one being farther than Pluto, or is that a different one?

I still like the theory that Pluto was interlinked with another planet, almost a replica of itself, and they rotated vertically around each-other.

Or is that true? Been awhile since I've read up on planets, I used to have a high interest in it though.

It's kinda neat, but who really cares? We know there's planets way out there, and it's too far to get to.

Excuse me while I dive into the realms of theorietically physics for an undefined amount of time to figure out how I could go to that planet within my lifetime.

Luckily not all people are as close minded, or we would have just discovered the moon.

Oh, and they need to name a new planet Zebes.

Yes, much like Space Rangers, it reminds me of crappy food, like microwave pot pie pizza. Why? b/c all the above give me the sensation of heartbearn when I think about them.
